[Testing with List Users] New Table View Prototype for List Users
Greetings, Wrike Community! ๐
My name is Ilia, and I am a Senior Product Manager at Wrike.
Some of you might have heard that my team is currently working on building a new better Table View in Wrike. Not only is it going to replace the current Table, but it should also improve the experience for the users of our List.
My team and I will be glad to learn more about your use cases related to using List View in Wrike. We are now looking to invite you for user testing of our initial clickable mock prototype.ย
Please comment below if you are interested. As we currently have limited capacity, please describe your common usage of Wrike, as we are focusing on users who mostly or often use List in Wrike.
Later on we might be contacting you again to test a more advanced solution and invite you to beta test it.
We very much appreciate your time and input!
Have a great day, everyone!
Hi @..., I would be happy to help you out. Our team uses list view primarily for its multi-edit functionality and it is the default view on a good number of our folders. Let me know how I can assist. Thanks!
I would love to try a new table view out! I (along with a good portion of the team I am on) uses List View primarily and supplements with Table View. We use the list view to better easily see/edit all of the custom fields we have at the project level and then adding comments in as needed at the project or task level. We use the table view mainly for drag/drop and copy paste to do our "mass edits". I like being able to see the side by side view of the task/project list and the details of the project.ย
I'd be happy to try it out. Our team utilizes list view primarily to be able to view the complete task. The majority of our tasks are generated by a request form that has all the details, and they are not easily read in table view.
My team primarily uses the List view for processing our work. Like others mentioned, we find it easier to multi-edit and see clearly what we are looking at in List View. It is less confusing to manage if we are looking at all the tasks for one Project. If we are filtering or sorting to get to some data, we use Table View. I'm happy to give feedback.
I am interested in the list view! Our team uses table and list views to see and edit and organize/sort the custom fields we have for active projects and it bet this feature would further improve our workflow. I'll also be happy to provide feedback.
I would be interested in helping out. We currently use the List view for multi-edit functionality, otherwise we largely use the table view.ย
I would love to help test! My company defaults to the list view since you're able to make updates in bulk and is easy to navigate. I personally like using list view & table view for different management of projects so would love to see the new features of the table view!
Thank you all so much for your willingness to help ๐ค

Hello everyone,
Thanks a lot for all the comments and making yourself available to give your feedback. I will contact you over email.
Very interested. Our team only uses the list view for bulk editing, but we are 100% dependent on the table view. We use it to plan highly structured year-long client projects made up of sub-projects that are generated off of blueprints. We use a good number of custom fields including drop-downs and formulas. We also have a nesting structure that has two layers of projects, followed by folders, and then tasks and subtasks.ย
@...ย , please count me in! Our team primarily uses List View for viewing project work and multi-selection changes, although we do use Table View for managing custom views (typically dropdown fields to help categorize project information). Would love to see the new functionality.
Thanks a lot,ย Stephanie Castilla, Carolanne Mak, I've passed your interest to Ilia ๐

Hi @...! Our teams make daily use of the Space/Project/Task structure within Wrike. At the moment, the majority of our users find the List view the most practical since it allows them to easily jump between the project vs. task details (description, files, comments, etc), while maintaining visibility of the folder tree. At the same time, dragging & dropping projects to tag the project you're currently in is most easily done from the List View. The List View also gives the most coherent search results. And finally, like everyone else, we use the List view for the Mass Edit functionality.
I'd be eager to test out your prototype, and be involved in future beta testing for the Table View developments.
Thank you!
Hey Soraya Jung, I've asked Ilia to reach out to you about this ๐

Hi Illia, I am excited to hear about the planned updates to the Table view.ย
Our assignees often use the List view to review their assigned tasks and projects, and the respective communications. The List view's mass edit function is also convenient for account administration.
The Table view is preferable for discussions with planners / coordinators and other stakeholders where a high level view and custom field data columns are needed for quick categorizing and filtering.
Please let me know how I can help.
