[From Wrikeโs Product Team] Interviews: Table View and Gantt Chart ๐
Hi Community!
Iโm Ilia, a Product Manager at Wrike. Nice to meet you! ๐
Iโve received a lot of your feedback from the Community regarding Table View and Gantt Chart functionalities in posts such as 'Enable Sorting of Tasks inside Table View by Priority', 'Filter Presets for Gantt Chart' and many others - thanks to everyone whoโs been sharing their feedback in the Community! Iโm also hoping that you found some of the recent releases and improvements useful ๐
My team is currently researching the use-cases for using Table View and Gantt Chart to plan future improvements, and this is where we need your help.ย
The main questions that weโre looking into are:
- What are the specific purposes for which you use Table View and Gantt Chart, and not the other views available in Wrike?ย
- In what cases do you prefer to use other Wrike views and not Table View or Gantt Chart?ย
If youโre on Wrikeโs Business or Enterprise subscriptions and use these two Wrike views on a daily basis, and would like to share your views on the above questions directly with me, please let me know in the comments below, and Iโll contact you to schedule a 30-minute interview.
Thank you for helping us improve your Wrike experience ๐
Hi Ilia, I almost exclusively use Gantt Chart and Table Views, and then the List View for specific needs. I'd be happy to chat on the reasons and filters we use on our team!ย
Hi Ilia, Table View is by far my favorite view - I love being able to see many details at once, use my custom fields to sort, make easy updates and share information in a meeting. I also use the Gant regularly to visualize the dependencies, check on progress, view multiple projects that share resources so I can see any potential conflicts, and more. I'd be happy to discuss use cases further as well. Thanks
@...ย Our teams work in Table View and Gantt Chart view daily, in a similar manner to others based on the information we're viewing.ย Table view is especially helpful for the excessive use of custom fields that we have (many tied to request forms).ย Gantt Chart view is the most popular in Blueprints, developing the timelines and dependencies.ย In the "New Wrike Experience" we have lost the ability to "Search" the Gantt Chart and miss that functionality.ย We would go to Gantt Chart View (especially from a high-level folder) then click on Search, to search for a term (i.e. UAT Test) so that Gantt Chart would only show tasks related to that term.ย It was a quick visual way to see interrelated tasks within an individual project (and connect their dependencies) or high-level view of their timing.ย Please bring this functionality into New Wrike Experience!ย Happy to discuss this live, and any other use cases, if you'd like!
We almost exclusively use Table and Gantt Chart view, I would be happy to fill you in on our workflow.
Thank you for your interest and help, everyone! Ilia will be reaching out to you shortlyย ๐

Hi @..., it's great to hear you're looking into this topic. We have a boatload of improvement requests for the Gantt Chart. We are a superyacht refit company and we heavily rely on the Gantt Chart to build our project planning. We are still pushing users to let go of MS Projects, but they keep falling back to it due to missing functions with the Gantt Chart.ย
Beyond planning, we use the Table View for the best overview of projects. This is due to our use of custom fields.
I'd be happy to do an interview to share our use case.
List view is handy for the mass edit option. Sometimes it would be nice to be able to do mass edit in table view, to be able to select multiple rows and make an edit on all of them, similar to the UX in Excel or Google Sheets.
Thank you so much for your interest,ย Soraya Jung, I believe Ilia has contacted youย ๐
Desiree Dixonย Thank you for your feedbackย ๐
