[From Wrike] The Beginners Guide to Wrike Dashboards
What is a Dashboard?
A Wrike Dashboard is a private or shared customizable view that contains widgets. These widgets can show tasks that meet specific criteria so that you can easily manage and monitor your work. Using dashboards can provide you with a quick overview of your team's progress and the ability to recognize possible future pitfalls. Keep reading for more detail on how to get the best out of Wrike Dashboards 👇
Pre-Built Widgets
There are several pre-built widgets that you can insert into your dashboard. These widgets are broken up into 3 separate categories:
- Personal Work - These widgets show tasks that are assigned to you, such as your overdue tasks, your to-do list for today, or your starred tasks.
- Work Management - These widgets allow you to manage your resources easily. These widgets include overdue tasks that you created, active tasks broken down by assignees, and the Activity Stream.
- Projects - Track projects filtered by the owner, the status, or the folder.
Be sure to experiment with each of these widgets to create a dashboard that suits your needs!
Custom Widgets
If you find that you want to personalize your widgets further to show specific tasks, a custom widget is the way to go. You can include tasks from multiple folders, and add filters to ensure that your widget shows exactly which tasks you need to see. You can even choose to show the names of these folders on these tasks. This is especially helpful if you're showing tasks from folders that relate to different users or even clients.
You can also create a dashboard widget from the list view of a project/folder/space. Go into the item that contains the tasks you want to see, choose your sorting order and filters, and then select "Add to Dashboard" from the three-dot menu in the top right corner of the workspace. This way, you can quickly create a customized dashboard widget, without going to the dashboard itself.
Also, as search results in Wrike appear in the List View, it's possible to add the results of a search as a dashboard widget as well. The "Add to Dashboard" option can be found in the three-dot menu, exactly like it is in a project/folder/space.
Once you have all your widgets in the dashboard, you can change how they look by rearranging and resizing them. You can do this by hovering your cursor over the name or the edge of the widget. Play around with them to get a view that suits you!

Is there a way to add items on my to-do list to my dashboard? I don't currently see an option for that like you've shown above with tasks in a project, so I wanted to make sure I'm not missing something.
If there isn't a way to do that, can I suggest adding this feature? This way, I can keep everything in my Dashboard.
I've tried working with just my to-do, but there were tasks that weren't showing up on this list.
Hi Yula Economopoulos, welcome to the Community 👋
It should be possible to use widgets like "Tasks Assigned to Me", and "To Do Today/This Week", but it's not currently possible to add my to-do list to dashboards. If you'd like to submit a suggestion to make this possible, please post it in the Product Feedback forum. And here's a post explaining how that forum works 🙂 Please let me know if you have any questions.

Why does my dashboard not appear in the Menu drop-down list? It only shows up when I click the 'More' grid icon at the top right.
Hi Juan.
It worked when I turned on Lightspeed.
Thanks.
Great to hear Joseph Wong 🙂

Hi. I cannot find a way to add a Project to my Dashboard when I'm viewing the project and its tasks anymore.
Liana, can you please elaborate a bit on that? It's not clear what's not working for you

Hi Vladimir Bugay. On the desktop app with a project open, clicking the 3 menu dots used to open up an option to "Add Project to Dashboard." Now I can't find that option.
Hi Liana M Young, we've shared your feedback with the respective team, thank you!

Hi, how do I add a folder to a dashboard thanks
Hey Anna, can you please elaborate a bit? You can select a folder as a data source through a picker like a space or a project.
