Hi everyone!
ย
Our Wrike experts will be holding a live Webinar to discuss theย new upcomingย functionality in Wrike,ย Spaces.
ย
Spaces is new functionality to help you better organize your team's work in Wrike and we're super excited for you to attend and get the first glance of this featureย coming in April! The Webinar takes place at 5PM GMT on 7th March.
ย
Register todayย to attend.
ย
Here are some of the talking points for this session:
- What Spaces are and how they boost the way you organize your items.
- The benefits of Spaces.
- How to create, edit, and share Spaces.
- How to tailor them to your teamโs needs.
ย
Any questions, please post belowย ๐
Love this and cannot wait to attend the webinar!
The team is so excited to show everyone this! Great to hear you'll be there Devon Marie ๐
Don't forget you can pop back here if you have any questions after the webinar ๐
I would love to attend, but unfortunately, I won't be able to. :-(
Will the webinar be a video we can watch later?ย
That's a shame Marj, it's something I think you're going to love.
I'll definitely post it here a day or so after. Make sure you're following the thread here so you'll get an email when I post ๐
@All Any thoughts about Spaces from theย video above? ๐
My calendar cleared up! I'll be in attendance!
Great news Marj, glad you're there as we speak ๐
I'm very curious to hear what everything thinks of it, please drop back here with your thoughts and feedback after the webinar!ย
Awesome webinar! I want spaces now! LOL. I think everyone watching agrees with me.ย ย
At first, i didn't understand the difference between spaces and just a folder, but once we got into the webinar, it was explained.ย
I know that for my team, we will use Spaces; for sure it will replace our Starred Items, thanks to BookMarks
Our Tree (the left side of the view) is cluttered with so many folders and projects, it get's overwhelming. We'll use Spaces to have only the most important items view-able with one click.ย
Spaces will save a lot of time clicking on the tree to open the next and the next and the next branch to get to the folder you need. Just click on the bookmark!
I know a big request right now for the Devs is to create a way to organize reports. Viola! Spaces!!!ย
Looking forward to the launch.ย
I had a feeling you'd like it Marj ๐
Yes, it will certainly reduce clutter a lot and help everyone focus on the main things you need to see. Also, when someone new joins your team, I feel it will be a lot more intuitive for them to get exactly what's going on from the get-go.ย
I'm waiting for the video to the processed and I'll pop it up here asap for anyone who missed the webinar, or want to go over it again ๐
@all, for those of you with Spaces already enables or if you're looking for more information, we have a help article availableย with some common FAQs. Check it out! I'll pop back here when the functionality is available for general release. Thanks๐
For those of you that speak Spanish, you can now watch thisย Spaces Webinar in Spanish.
Gracias!
@all, we'll be holding another LIVE Webinar on Spaces on April 10th.ย
Register todayย to attend.
๐
When will Spaces be available? I'm so excited and can't wait!
Hi Marj, expected date of release is not available because it's currently in Labs so the product team can review and make any necessaryย tweaks.
Right now, it's planned for later in April. If this changes I'll be sure to let everyone know here.
Is there any particular feature that's peaked your excitement? ๐
ย
@Stephen, yes, the ability to put everything that is important, or referenced frequently in one place. Can't wait to organize my reports!
Me too Marj! I'll keep you all updated here and will have some helpful information share at the time of release ๐
Spaces looks like it's going to be great, I'm excited to start using it. Any word yet on the release date? :)
When I click the "+" symbol, I don't see an option to create a space. All I see are "Task", "Project or folder", and "Request". Do I need to activate Spaces somehow?
@Jameson - Spaces is being rolled out in waves, rather than all accounts at once; perhaps your account has not received the update. Try to Check for Updates and see if you get the new option after. If not, you should probably see it soon.ย
Check for updates through my PC or is there an option within the Wrike desktop app to check for updates?
The PC Desktop app has a Check for Updates option. Click on the three dots in the upper left corner, then File, then Check For Updates. It will either update, or tell you that you are already updated. If you don't get the Spaces option after this, it just means it is not rolled out to your account yet.ย If you have only watched the Webinar once, I suggest watching it again, especially the Q&A section, as their were some pretty good questions answered that were not included in the webinar itself.ย
Spaces looks great, however in the features available in the product today I don't seem to get a list of options on the bookmarks - only the ability to add a URL in.ย This somewhat hinders what it can do, particularly in the LAN Wrike app, as far as I can see.
ย
Is the feature still being rolled out presently?
ย
@Jon, the webinar was created before Spaces was actually released and a few items changed. For instance, bookmarks are not a different color based on type (Dashboard, Report, etc) and how to add a bookmark changed.ย
When you add the URL, Wrike automatically knows if it is a Dashboard, Report, etc, so we don't need to select what we want to add, just add the URL, name it and its shows up.
Hi Marjorie, thanks for the response.
ย
This makes sense, however I am not sure how I would obtain a link to the dashboards or reports for example, particularly as we primarily use the LAN application rather then Web version and would not want Wrike to keep opening up the web each time we click a link.ย How do I identify and add the bookmark links directly through the LAN application?
ย
Hi guys, I generally think Spaces is a step forward. We found our request forms were not very visible so this is going to help being able to book mark those, and I really like the idea of having a landing page with those bookmarks pinned. I know you said that you are going to allow the ability to set a default view - to me this is really important - we hardly use list views at all and I think something like analytics works makes a lot more sense as a landing page view here. However, can I ask that you consider allowing to have a dashboard as the landing page on a space. I think we would use dashboards so much more if they were part of the core structure rather than hidden away under Dashboards tab. (And yes, being able to pin them in bookmarks will help but still better if I could embed them as the landing page)
