Right now only parent tasks are visible in the Board View. It would be really great if we could see all theย subtasksย too. Probably a new advanced filter would do the trick, so that a user could switch between displaying onlyย up levelย tasks or all tasks includingย subtasks. It willย definitelyย help in managing complicatedย goals.

Mark Poole, I was going to suggest just the same but you found it first!ย  I can only imagine how many Wrike potential users are getting over to Clickup.ย  Among others, the responses to the community. What's the last time Wrike was in this thread?ย  Every now and then one of the Wrike team pops up, and says, generally, that "I'll talk to the Product team in some weeks, or months."ย  Ridiculous!ย  I mean is this one company??ย  Clickup responds generally all the time, their roadmap is public, just a much better approach to users.ย  And that's just re: the community part of things.

The board in Wrike is a joke, clearly thrown together, my guess is to say they have it in the same project so they can claim superiority over Asana, which amazingly didn't have that option for an age.ย ย 

Clickup is also about to release another feature that it is missing, which was one of the major ones I chose Wrike for - tasks in multiple projects or folders:

Aside from Clickup, there are a ton of newer apps (Wrike is about 13 yrs old now, and they move like an old man in the space...) that are superior in about every way.ย  Of the product management stuff, in addition to ClickUp you have Hive, Monday, MeisterPlan, and a host of others.ย  I'd recommend though the new wave of "nocode" apps, which can be set up with relatively little work for supreme flexibility, even showing subtasks in board view - Notion, Coda, Air Table, Zenkit, a few others.

I am done with Wrike.ย  Bought the license, paid $2700 for my team - because there is no monthly option, no pay-as-you-go, so I will eat that investment.ย  Incidentally this is another reason I will not recommend Wrike.ย  They are not Salesforce, but think they can price like them.ย  The only other app I found with equally archaic pricing is LiquidPlanner, and all you have to do is search a bit on that one in Google to see it's on fumes.ย  But the big one with Wrike are key missing features that they appear to have on interest in.ย  I spent about 2 months posting in the forum over and over, only to see the common sentiment of other users like myself posting "anybody home?" and nobody responding, while Wrike releases worthless, for the most part, new stuff like "My Work" or useful, but buggy, stuff like adding a task to GSuite calendar.

Glad to hear you found ClickUp.ย  I am going for a nocode solution instead of Wrike, but ClickUp is moving quickly and you can't go wrong with them!

I'd like to add to the group here. Seeing subtasks in bins without having to set parent tasks to the same status is important. i.e. Design Task 1 can be "in-progress" while subtasks 1,2,5 are "in-review" would be great.

Unless both tasks and sub, or even sub-sub-tasks are visible, by status, in the column that bears the name of the status,on the project they are attributed to, the board view becomes an impediment to progress in instituting the Agile accomodating Scrum framework. Without these statuses showing, additional reports, or dashboards are requrired, destroying agility. As it stands, there is a way to almost get this funcionality in Dashboards, but because the main board view does not accomodate this functionality, staff are required to look elsewhere for critical information that should be at-a-glance, on the main rosetta stone of all projct activity - the board view.ย

As Michael Combest pointed out, without this feature Wrikeย cannot support projects using agile methodologies.

It has been over a year since this issue has been created. We do not want another status update of, "Yeah, yeah, we're looking at it." We need this feature.

Well, just read close to 40 comments to see that 2 years have passed and no feature was released. Maybe the absence of this feature is not enabling the team to use the agile methodology properly - hence the 24 month development cycle. It is kind of an "egg/chicken" problem, really.

Or maybe I'm just frustrated. :B

Wanted to get back in here as I have still not given up on Wrike, but the multiple examples here of how ClickUp is doing this I hope give the Product Team some inspiration. ย Would be curious to know what are the technical limitations if you guys have some that are blocking this, just to prepare as it's a badly needed feature!

If this not possible right now, what about a subtask counter ala Trello at least? ย Where you currently show the total subtasks, change that to show the total AND completed together.

This is yet another feature absent in Asana so you guys have a chance here to beat them to the punch! ย Unfortunately ClickUp has already done it...

Jay Fortnerย this is spot on feedback. ย Really would like to hear somebody from Wrike Product respond to this. ย I'm starting to think that @...ย and Lisaย have hands tied, and are probably at wit's end having to listen to these requests and repeat the same answers, clearly being told to do so by Management.

So where on Earth is any mention in the community that Wrikey Dog is a big need?

This is the exact opposite of all Lean and Agile Product Development principles. ย As in, you gather requests from users, prioritize, release, repeat. ย This is a typical feature that I'm pretty sure nobodyย requested!ย It's like Wrike is stuck back in 2008 with their approach to product, that's when they launched.

Very cool that you pointed this out, epitome of what is why I am on the fence with re-upping with Wrike.

been using wrike for 1 year now. And I have to switch between wrike and Trello to manage projects.... Because wrike BOARD is useless

I don't understand the reason why you still did not do the change (the issue is more than 2 years old now)

And what is surprising me is that there is still no decision... so it is easy to tell us: YES we will do the change? or NO we will not do it

At least each user will be able to decide which tool they will use, and not wait for a "potential" upgrade in wrike

Lisa, I think the point re: Wrikey Dog is that it's hard to see you guys doing this kind of vanity stuff while a host of features that minions of users are asking for are essentially ignored - aside from you and Hugh checking in, often rarely, with very little transparency into when they will be produced. ย And many of these requests areย years old as my colleagues (and I) point out. ย 

I saw the post in the other area of the community re: the Dog and may people chimed in saying they thought it was cool, eager to see again, etc. ย That's fine, but you guys should realize that by ignoring these posts in the forum basically begging for your guidance on these key features, while somebody spends time developing the dog beforehand, you are going to build dissatisfaction among users. ย You guys could easily post into the forum plans for the Dog, and reasons why this and other needed features are not being done, and I'm sure many of us would be happy to see that transparency. ย I don't think anybody is asking for you to commit to a certain date when you're going to deliver something. That is very hard to do in Software Development. ย But leaving stuff unaddressed for years, with no guidance at all, is completely unnecessary and detrimental.

Al Sapeย makes some great points. Transparency, beyond the copy-and-paste checkins, is greatly appreciated.

It's great to bring joy to users. Especially in strange times like we're experiencing now. But I can't see any client willing to pay for something like Wrikey Dog when expected features are missing.

Changing something like whether or not sub-tasks appear on Boards shouldn't take a lot of time and resources. Especially for a team that develops a tool to improve communication and productivity.

I've been a user of Wrike for over a year now and I haven't seen any significant changes. So, where is all the time being spent? A roadmap would help inform the users of what to expect and when. Board view should also be able to handle:

  1. A folder of projects contained in it. Each project will have its own progress life (in a potential different workflow for the tasks), but the project itself will be monitored in the overall folder Board view.
  2. A project with sub-projects in it. Each project will have its own progress life (in a potential different workflow for its tasks), but the subprojects themselves will be monitored in the overall main project Board view

Such cases are construction projects handled by General Contractors where many projects follow their own workflow in different workflow.

Having said "handle", I mean at least finding them in the Board view, and having the indication of the subordinate entities (nr of sub-projects / folders/ / tasks / sub-tasks) in them.

I think it may be important to clarify the method for how requests are processed on the Product Feedback forum here. Hi @... & Wrike Team,

I have had the same problems / wishes as the other users here and it seems, people are looking for more than a generic answer.ย 

As other users also have mentioned, Wrike is not the cheapest tool on the market and some basic features should be intrinsically available for some companies to work efficiently on the KANBAN board view.ย 

We have some employees who are also using Asana or Trello to circumvent this, which is something that obviously defies every purpose of using a unified PM tool.ย 

It would be helpful to get a possible time horizon when this feature might be made available (rather have a plan and then possibly have to extend it than not communicating a plan in the first place)ย 

I understand that it is hard to communicate the progress of such improvements, but please help us out here so we can continue planning our communication and project management ways.ย

I agree, we need to see subtasks on the board, so it was raised one year ago and it is a basic project management function, when will it be ready? The workaround is a bit complex and time consuming
