[Status: Launched! 🚀] Customising Project status

Any update on this? We are having to create a lot of painful workarounds because of this.

@Thread We recently started adding statuses to any threads with more than 60 votes and added the "Backburner" status to this thread. There are more details on this community post around the different potential status options and what they mean. 

Is there any update on this? The suggestion for this feature that you have lots of requests for was created over a year ago - this feature would be fantastic for visibility purposes!!!

I agree with Matt Herrington here. This takes way to long Wrike, and it's quite essential!!

Our team sees this is an absolute need - please take this off the backburner and put it in the active bucket if possible! We would be much appreciative of it.

+1 from us for this too. Even if you don't provide the ability to customise the Project Statuses fully, even if Wrike could add in a Status such as "Grey" (or perhaps "White" seeing as U.S. spelling for Grey is Gray) status that can denote Queued or Not Started. Screenshot: https://goo.gl/RH6kvz

I vote to remove GREEN, RED, YELLOW altogether!  They cause confusion (the colored line above the list view) b/c folders can have colors assigned to them.

In addition to COMPLETED, ON HOLD and CANCELLED, should be IN PROGRESS.

Also how about NEW?

Is there a reason this is still a backburner item? This is causing a lot of issues with our reporting that we require for process and tracking of projects. I am hoping this can come to fruition faster so we do not need to work in a different tool.

For what it's worth—just as another perspective on @Wendy's comment re the project status colours—we like the colours. But... if in addition to allowing admins to customise the projects status names you allowed the colours to also be specified for each status (as you do with task statuses in Wrike Business and above) then users who don't like the coloured stripe across the top of the project pane can select a colour that is white or gray or something not noticeable for each project status.

I really don't understand why this is a backburner issue... this is a field that isn't clear with the current options so we don't use it but can't hide it either. It's very frustrating since having a project status field is so essential to project management -- making our own custom field to also serve as status is confusing since we can't get rid of the built in status field. It would be ideal to be able to customize the options to what we need or at least hide the field.

This actually ended up being a point of confusion for our team. We read that we could assign custom workflows to projects and were highly confused when the 'green..' didn't change to reflect the new custom workflow as tasks did. It says in your help files that we can create custom workflows for our projects... but not really, apparently. I have upvoted this request and hope it gets fully implemented soon!

Yeah, I've come to the point where Managing as many projects as I have running simultaniously has become questionable without this function. I can't get a clear understanding of project status at a glance.

+1 for me - this is hugely important to us to be able to manage projects at this level in addition to the tasks.

+70 for our company. I asked our Product Manager about this months ago and wasn't forwarded to this thread. Glad to see our company's not alone in needing personalization of the Project status.

Will this allow us to use our custom workflows as the new status' when it is implemented? Or will it just be allowing us to rename "red/green/yellow"?

In case this would be possible to include while you're working on this: The ability to filter by Project Status for Dashboards. (So that tasks from a certain project don't get added to a user's dashboard till the project is in a relevant status.)

@all, it is certainly coming soon. Right now, it's still in the planning phase which means the team will be testing, building, testing again until it's in perfect shape to release.

+1 Upvote. By allowing us to customize the project status labels, it would allow tasks and project statuses to be treated in a similar manner if we choose.

Customized Project Status would also help us a lot in our PMO

I've been using Wrike as a Sr. Project Manager for my Firm now, for a couple of months.  Any updates on this?  I just came from a meeting with the Exec. Team and they need for me to be able to Customize the Status beyond Green Yellow Red.   Can I give them an idea of when this will be possible in Wrike??
