[Backburner ⌛️] Ability to print reports without exporting to Excel
It would be great to be able to print multi-page reports from Wrike. The only way I can get around this is to export my reports to Excel.

Huh??? It's a report. How can printing (or exporting to PDF) not be possible?? https://images.app.goo.gl/3gKe7uZshE7piRe28
Any update on this feature? I agree with how important this is. I am getting pressure around this. Why should we have to export to Excel, a tool we are trying to get away from in project management? Why can't we just print the report that I'm seeing on the screen???
It is ridiculous. Reports and printing go hand-in-hand. It is hard to believe that Wrike does not see the importance of this. Instead, we get "features" like Spaces. I can't imagine that was a top request from the user base.
It blows my mind that it is almost 2020 and having the ability to print a report from a project management software isn't a given. Wrike is supposed to be a time saving tool, instead we waste more time exporting to excel and manipulating the report then anything else - kind of ironic!
Hi everyone, thanks a lot for your support! All your feedback is being reported. Currently, this is not on the short-term roadmap, but I'll let you know if/when it's added there.

I find it interesting how this is such an important feature and up-voted over 100 times but is not on the short-term road map. How exactly does this end up on the road map? Apparently not by the voice of your customers.
Hi All,
Not sure if this will help anyone else, but I finally found a way to hack together a PDF of the Wrike report without having to export to Excel, or screenshotting and pasting images together manually.
I use SnagIt (There may be other screen capture tools that do the same thing). SnagIt has a couple features that work. One called "Panoramic" and one "Scrolling Window". They both essentially do screen captures while you (or the computer) scrolls the window manually. You then get a very tall image document (Depending on the size of the report output) that you can print to a PDF.
I experience a little wonkiness with the scrolling window, so not sure if that's my setup or the software (or Wrike's Report page for that matter). So I use the panoramic setting and scroll the report window (slowly) myself. I suggest to NOT use your mouse scroll wheel, as I had it do some weird cutoffs. Use the arrow keys or the scroll bar directly.
For some people, it may be more hassle than it's worth, but for the teams that need the exact info and prefer the format of wrike, it's worth the time savings over the silly Excel yuckiness.
The lack of ability to print reports is mind blowing. What good is a report if I can't print it? I see no way to print reports from the Wrike desktop app.
Also, you can't export snapshots to Excel. So the only way to see snapshots is to look in Wrike. You can't print them, can't export them. They are contained views inside Wrike only.
The only way I can print a report is to go to the web browser version of Wrike, create a snapshot, open it, print using the browser print option, and force the page to fit on the paper. This is not an acceptable solution.
PLEASE provide report printing!
Lisa This needs to be elevated. Many people have reported the importance of this and yet it is not being addressed.
Hi again, everyone! I totally understand your need here, this is after all why we have this forum - to help you share your feedback. I'm passing it to the team and checking on the status regularly. I'm sure that the team would just love to implement most of the suggestions here, but they have to prioritize over various factors. We explain the process in more detail in this post here: https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360019106654--Read-Me-What-happens-with-Product-Feedback-
Our Product team takes all your feedback very seriously, and so do we. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts here! I'll get back to you when the status of this suggestion is updated by the team.

almost 4 years now, and you couldn't find a way to solve it 😂😂!!
Hi,
Are there any updates on this matter?
Thank you
Hi Maria de Quadras,
I don't have an update in regards to the status of this suggestion for you at the moment. As soon as I have one, I'll be sure to let you know 😊
Almost 4 years and still no great way to print a report. 120+ upvotes and 4 pages of comments. I have expressed concern about this to every rep we had. Please listen to your customers, while they still are your customers.
Will Salen I fully agree with you and the others. Wrike printing overall is very poor. The fact that you can't print reports is ridiculous. Even the Gantt chart print options are lame and mostly useless. That topic has gone on for several years as well.
I find it unbelievable that a group of software developers can't seem to get something as standard as printing implemented. Almost every software app I have ever used provides printing, especially if it is a report, document, chart, or similar item. Reports are meant to be printed and delivered to management, colleagues, teams, clients, etc. It makes no sense that you can't natively print reports. Export to Excel is a nice option, but Wrike is using it as a crutch to not provide printing abilities. I really don't understand why it is so hard to get them to understand what the user base needs.
If this issue is not resolved, I will look to other product that can support.

I continue to be disappointed and frustrated with Wrike for not listening to their community and addressing fundamental flaws in their platform. This thread is 4 years old, and like other product feedback, we continue to get the same "not on our road map" response.
How can a basic feature like printing reports not be on the road map? I find this insane! You have customers that have been frustrated for years, and some that pass up Wrike in search of tools that provide these basic features. Wrike is losing sales and they don't feel that they should put this on their road map?
Same ongoing issues with the Gantt chart. The lack of a legitimate way to print a Gantt chart, which is fundamental to almost every other PM software out there, is another sore point with the user base. We tried for a couple of years to get this resolved, and when Wrike announced that they were providing a solution, it was barely an improvement and still did not provide what is needed.
Wrike continually advances the platform, which is great, but come on already. Can we please address the fundamentals?
Thank you for sharing more feedback Jason Pontius, we do appreciate you taking the time to bump this thread as this is a suggestion supported by the Community. As Elaine mentioned above, the team will be reviewing the possibility of implementing this suggestion in the coming months. We'll make sure to let you know once we have an update from them.
Thank you again for letting us know your thoughts!

After all the requests and upvotes, it is time that Wrike reviews the actual implementation, not "reviewing the possibility of implementing this suggestion".
This feature is much needed. Upvote added!
Thanks for your support for the suggestion Will Salen, Denise Miller! 👍

Would love to be able to print reports. Formatting just isn't the same when you export to excel. (and I use Google Sheets mostly anyway).
Not being able to even export the report to a PDF is a massive miss here. Not everyone who monitors projects wants to navigate to a snapshot site or to a reporting site to view project status information.
The communication process should include: view report --> export to PDF --> email to external team(s)
Reporting to external teams is a big part of project management, so please increase the priority of this functionality! It is a crippling communication gap.
I will add that Wrike may think that adding this feature will limit their revenue on licensing, but not having this functionality is a bigger risk to the platform than potentially missing some collaborator licenses. Do the right thing and it will grow the top line.

Thank you, Jameson Goorman, for pinging this topic. It is 5 years old and we still don't have it. So frustrating. As you mention, it is yet another core feature that Wrike doesn't care to provide. It has been 1 year since the last activity so I appreciate your attention to this request.
Wrike, please make this a priority in the development! We have been asking for it for 5 years with 133 upvotes and counting. What more do we need to do?
Respectfully,
Jason
Yup Jason Pontius, just another key feature languishing in Wrike's backlog/pile of shame
Hi folks! Apologies for not providing an update here - there isn't one at the moment as this suggested improvement is not planned by the team. I understand that this news can be frustrating as this does have a considerable number of votes. There are many exciting updates planned currently that we'll be sharing when the time comes. What anyone who hasn't voted or commented here in this thread can do would be to do so in order for the Product team to continue getting new feedback on this topic which we will continue to pass on to them.
Thank you for bumping this thread!

Your marketing group needs to take notice of this issue. Worst case of ignoring your clients I've ever seen and I don't know what the issue is that is stopping you? Trying to save trees??
Right now you have people performing work arounds to clean up the excel sheets and likely using other third party software with that softwares logo's on it to clean up your silly excel dumps.
Simply can't believe this has been a topic since 2018.
