When creating from a REQUEST FORM, add this task to: Select location

So, I noticed that we can designate folders for blueprint subtasks when we create tasks from blueprints.

It would be a tremendously helpful tool to be able to do the same for request forms.

As I understand mechanism exists already. It just needs to be replicated for request forms.

This function would be tremendously handy for my workflow, where I have a blueprint and I have to manually add two of the tasks to separate folders for every project created from that blueprint via a request form.  This would reduce a manual task and significantly improve my own admin tasks (especially removing the possibility of my forgetting to add the task to the correct folder).  In my work, we use a specific folder to monitor a common task of all projects in one place.

I've been searching for a way to do this in my own workflow, but it doesn't look like this exists yet. Please put down a third vote for this functionality sooner rather than later! :)

This would be so helpful for us. We have the request forms creating projects from blueprints and adding them to specific spaces depending on who is required to do the work, and we have a master list of all of the projects as well. It would be great if the request form could automatically put the project into both locations for us. It seems like this can be done with blueprint tasks, but not projects at the moment.

This seems to be an old request that has popped up on multiple occasions.  We desperately need this functionality to drive our risk management items into their respective projects.  The reason for using a request form for risk management is that it allows for a guided questionnaire to be utilized and prevent lack of details from whomever is filling out the task details.  That information is also driven into the correct custom fields for reporting and calculations.

Our current process requires users to be very cautious when creating DFMEA items within a project, and the process is both non-obvious and tedious.  The request form solves these problems, but does not allow the DFMEA item to be placed into the correct location.  We need to be able to select the folder/project directly in the request form

Hopefully we can get some new visibility to this need and drive support to get this feature on the development log.

I agree - we need to be able to select the folder/project directly in the request form. This would be very helpful in our team. We use request forms daily across 50+ projects and need to be able to select the project directly in the request form.

This request has been here for several years - does the Wrike team have an update on when this will be implemented and rolled out?

Thank you for the feedback, Trevor Tollefsbol and Asheeqah Salie. 😊 I can see how being able to dynamically select a folder or project directly in the request form would be valuable. There’s no update on this at the moment, but we’ll be sure to let you know if anything changes in the future. 👍🏽
