Wrike Reports: display parent task ID, date and time, external reporting tool

Hi All,

I'm trying to create some reports out of Wrike and I'm feeling very limited. Here are a couple of hard limits, I wonder if anybody has found a workaround for them. It would be very appreciated !

1) Subtasks: reports are "flattening" tasks and subtasks, it becomes impossible to distinguish/filter them. Is there any way to identify if a task is contained in another task and eventually get its ID displayed in a column ? (parent task ID)

2) Dates: every date in Wrike is never showing time. Sometimes, this is a big limit, especially for statistic purposes. For example, is there any way to display the time along the completion date of a task ?

Finally, is there a way to "plug" a reporting tool over Wrike, like Crystal Report or similar ones, to programmatically pull out the data and build reports out of Wrike?

Thanks,

Hi Marco, thanks for reaching out 🙂

When you are viewing a Report that you've built, you can display the Tasks's ID using the gear icon in the upper left corner of the Report. If you want to display Tasks in the hierarchical view to see items organized by Folder, Project, and Task location, you can click :

To display time when the Task was completed, you can use Custom Fields - users will need to enter time manually, and then the Field can be displayed in the Report.

Please check out this API Integrations thread about connecting reporting tools to Wrike. This post by a Wrike Team member can also come in handy 👍

Let me know if that's what you were looking to achieve and get back to me with any further questions.

Hi Lisa,
thank you very much for your prompt answer. Indeed, this is not solving my issues. I need to export the report for doing some post processing statistics that Wrike is not capable to do, so I need the relationships between tasks and subtasks in the excel export, and it is not the case. Keeping track of the completion time manually compiling a custom field is not interesting as well, since we're looking to implement a tracking metric that is not user dependant and that is not requiring any extra effort.
I will look at the API Integration thread during the next few days. I hope to find a way to extract much more data than I actually see in the report. It would also be good to extract the stream of a project, I've never been able to do it so far.
