Conditional branching to custom fields
Hi,
I'd like to fill a custom field, based on different answers in a request form.
Conditional branching is available, but there is no option to fill a defined value to a custom field.
Anyone else for this minor improvement? ;-)
BR
Raimund Dienst That would be nice. We currently use this work around: I built an automation that triggers on new task creation only if a certain value is present in a custom field (this would be the answer to your form question). The automation then changes the value of another custom field to a defined value.
Maybe something like this could help you in the meantime :)
Thanks Ali Moses for sharing your idea. This works great, even though it is quit some effort to create the automations. Still it helps in the meantime.
Hi Raimund Dienst 🙋🏻♀️ Thank you for posting your feedback. Would you mind sharing an example or your use case for more clarity?

Hi Basudha Sakshyarika
sure, there is one use case, that is easy to describe: We are having global projects. When handing in a new project our Key Accounter is filling a request form. One of the questions ins "Country". Depending on his entered value we want to fill "Region", 2-digit ISO Code for the country and local currency. Would be handy, if I could define all these values in the forms branching.
In the meantime I could test Alis workaround and it somehow works. And I thought of another workaround using Datahub for the country database. I guess I use one of them.
