Hi Jezper, thank you for this question! I personally love using templates and duplication, and I think the way you set this up is great. Have you had a chance to try setting the template tasks to a status from the "Deferred" status group? Deferred tasks do not show up in the to-do or overdue sections of Dashboard widgets. They remain hidden until they are duplicated, and after duplication they are automatically switched to the first active status of the workflow. Let me know if this works for you!

Hi Anastasia - how would you combat setting it to deferred when each task and/or project have a custom status that differs from the other? When I create a template and want to set it all to deferred, I have to individually go through each one to ensure it stays within the same preferred/assigned custom status. Any suggestions or workaround?

Hi again, Jennifer! Do you mean that tasks within the same template are from different Custom Workflows? Would love to hear a bit more about the templates you typically use, and how you launch them, this would help think of a good way to work around that! :)

So within my template I have sub-projects, a few of the sub-projects have a custom workflow. For example, I have a project that is for purchasing, operations, etc. Each of these have their own workflow. So when I do mass editing, I cannot simply select deferred because then it changes the workflow. It would be great if you can defer the top level project which defers the rest of the related projects without changing the workflow. Or simply put it in template mode (which I know has been suggested by other users already.) :)

Jennifer, that definitely makes sense! It looks like the best option in that case is to use Mass Editing for each of those Subprojects (I'm actually curious about how many you have under a parent Project). I can see how a planning mode would be the best solution for you, so thanks for voting for the Template Mode request :)

    (Editado )

Currently I have about 9 sub-projects under the parent project. So yes, template mode would be beneficial.
