[Status: Released ๐] Out of office -easy update profile status
It would be very useful to have way for a user to update their status easily on desktop app or mobile to show if they are not available, in meeting or out on holiday, gone fishing or other.
ย
A live collaboration / communication tool really needs this, even in old fashioned email has out of office ;)
ย
What do others think?

Hi Paul, I would love to hear a little more about this. I understand how the out of office functionality would work if you're out for a couple of days (or more), but would like a few more details about the meeting (or fishing ๐) examples. Would you like something like a button you can click that says something along the lines of "unavailable"? You could click the button on or off as needed throughout the day.
Let me know if that's what you had in mind!
Was just looking for something like this myself - I'm out on vacation for a few days and I'd like a way to let stakeholder know in Wrike. I may just use my old work around and update my profile picture with a PTO overlay๐
I'm interested in something like this, am on vacation for a couple of weeks, If someone @mentions me, they would get an automatic reply from me saying :I'm out of the office if you have any questions please ask @person "...is this something that could be considered ?
Hi Mariaย ๐, we raise all requests with our Product team (including this one). If we have an update about this being added to the roadmap, we'll update the thread.ย
Yes, an OOO feature would be great.ย The additional information in the notification (or pop up) will help the user reschedule appropriately.ย This added communication stream will make planningย more efficient.

Yes to an OOO feature!
This is especially important to us (Wrike team of 80+ votes) because we have aย lot of request forms that automatically task an individual, and auto-assign individuals on custom workflow statuses. If the individual is away (and not checking Wrike) there is no notification to the person that assigns it that there may be a delay on completion of the task. Having the ability to somehow inform the person who assigns the task that the person is away, (perhaps) with a custom message would helpful.
@Bailey "Wrike team of 80+ votes" - thank you so much!ย
For us, two specific features would be helpful:
1. The ability to have additional selections the calendar pulldown list.ย Right now there are items including Paid vacation, Nonpaid vacation, Sick leave, etc.ย We would like options for situations where people are working (for example, Working but unable to travel).ย We would like these to be definable by admins and perhaps show up in different colors on views that are visible to the entire team.
2. The ability to set up vacation etc. from the mobile app, not just from a PC.ย
Out of office is clearly something missing. Because now we dont know when someone is sick, on holiday, part-time,.. The task can't be completed by someone else because people don't know the reason why someone is not answering. Difficult for planning. Automatic reply when notifying someone will be a greatย use
@David @Romy I think Megan's thread would be a good one for you to upvote as well. That one relates specifically to customizing the calendarย dropdown options.
@Stephanie - Thank you.ย I agree with Megan's thread and have upvoted it and added a comment.
@David Perfect!ย
I'm voting for this too !
This tool would help us greatly! We are getting away from email as our main form of communication so having the out of office status in Wrike would be a tremendous help. You have my vote.
This is a fantastic idea. Just asked Live Chat about it and they said it wasn't yet something that they offered. Please Wrike, make it happen!!!!!
Yes, an OOO feature is vital toย communicating withย stakeholders. Please implement this requested change.ย
Yes, it would be helpful if an auto message pops up when a user/collaborator tries to @mention someone who has marked their calendar as OOO, as well as an easier way for any user/collaborator toย mark their profile as OOO when going on vacation.
This would be HUGE for us! We have a lot of our team members on the road and this would help clean up a lot of our communication.
OOO would be very helpful in our environment. Please add this feature.ย
Chiming in to say yes please!
We use Wrike both within our own office, and to communicate with a large number of clients across our university campus. I know when my direct coworkers are on vacation, but not when clients from totally different areas are. It would be great if there were something that users could set so that an @mention during their vacation triggered an auto-response lettingย the commenter know that that user is not around.
I don't necessarily want to adjust any timelines based on this out-of-office info (which is why the non-working-day calendar adjustment doesn't do the trick); I just want to know if a client is not going to see my @mention for several days because they're out.
We do everything possible to avoid email for project management (the reply chains would be enormous and ridiculous) and do it all in Wrike, so having an out-of-office feature within the system would be a huge benefit.
Thank you for your consideration!
Yes, please!! We really need this.
We also would like to seeย to an OOO feature. We have remote offices so no way of knowing who is on vacation, etc.
Hello,
With summer time and a lot of people in the project not in the same office, it is getting critical to have that feature and be sure that the messages are not just ignore by the person tagged.
Thank you,
ย
Adding another vote to this feature request :)
Yes!ย We need this!
Thanks,
You've got to do this guys. Please.
We are online now with approximately 700 users and getting ready to add another 700 in the next couple months. An out of office response setting in Wrike is desparately needed.
Agreed, this is an essential option that is needed in Wrike.
ย
This would help our Team! It would be especially helpful because we have Teams in different countries. The only way they would know someone is OOO would be to send them an email outside of Wrike.ย
Hello,
In addition to the current debate, it would also be great, as in our email calendars, to be able to set up working hours in Wrike. For example, Wrike knows that I am OOO at 6:30pm, and so at that point will stop sending me push notifications on my phone. It would help with the work / private life balance.
