Suggestion for notification of Reviews and @mentions

I'm would like to request that the notification email for pending reviews be moved into the bucket for @mentions, and removing it from the Date/Assigned/Status changed checkmark.

Reason being, reviewers are generally managers and they have voiced frustration with getting more emails than they need to see. They don't need updates on Date/Assignment/Status, they just want to be notified when specifically required to act on something or are specifically mentioned. Logically a review request is a specific mention, not a Status/Date/Assignee update. It just makes more sense to fall under the @mention bucket.

Hi Austin, this an interesting situation, the current thinking is that when you're added as a reviewer you're being "assigned" that file to review - in the same that you could be assigned a task. In the case of reviews and task assignment you're required to act on something, but I understand your point that date and status changes are more informational. Would it be possible to @mention a team member when they are assigned to review, that way your managers can keep their "Date/Assignment/Status" notifications off, but still know when they need to look at something?

There is much room for error when asking designers to @mention every reviewer each time. What if the reviewer misses the one @mention email they receive? There also aren't reminder emails sent for pending reviews. Reviews are being missed frequently.

This is an issue we're running into as well. I really think the addition of someone to a review process should be treated like a specific @mention. It is an important part of the project workflow.

Hi @Shoshanna, would it be an option for people to keep notifications about assignments turned on? That way they would automatically receive an email notification when they are added as a reviewer and your team wouldn't have to @mention them. If not, I'm wondering if you always have the same people assigned as reviewers? In that case you could create a "Review" User Group and @mention the group as needed. In addition to email notifications people will also have a notification in their Wrike Inbox, so there are different places to check your notifications (depending on what works best for you).

Hi @Austin, I just wanted to clarify - your team doesn't like that being added as a reviewer is grouped in with notifications about task assignements, and would prefer that they be included in the notification setting about @mentions?

That is correct, because assigning someone something is a specific instruction to that user to act, whereas the Assignee/Date/Status involves multiple instances that are not specific instruction to the user.
