We are happy to open another beta opportunity for you on a highly requested functionality by our Community: Search in Custom Fields ๐ ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ

Our Product team is currently testing the feature and we are looking for participants who'd be willing to try our new feature and share their feedback. The release of this new search enhancement is coming soon to all accounts, but if youโd like to be the first one to test it,ย please comment belowย and weโll enable it for you individually.

How will it work?
ย
Using the new search functionality, you will be able to search in custom field values everywhere in the account ๐ฅ

Please also note that our team might be contacting you to ask for your feedback if you decide to participate in the beta testing phase.ย This is a brand new functionality that the team is beta testing, and it may change in the future.ย

If I enter data in the search box at the home screen I get no results, but if I click in the search box then enter data I get results.ย Is it supposed to work that way?
No results-which is not so great nor intuitive

So I noticed that if I search everywhere then I see the custom field results but if I just want to look in my main space (Interface Team), I don't get the custom field results.

Hi @..., can you check ifย I have the beta enabled? Youย wrote "I've enabled the beta for all of you" a couple of days after I signed up in this thread.
We have a custom field named "Material (SAPID)". To test search in custom fields, I copied the value ("598679") from a random project.
There are no search results for "598679". Shelly Erickson's screenshot shows a "Custom fields" section in the result window, but that's not showing up over here.ย No difference if the search focus is "Everywhere" or a specific space.

Thanks @..., Support already contacted me and they came up an explanation for the issues I reported.
Turns out Search in Custom Fields beta only works on tasks (not projects) and only "Everywhere" (can't focus on spaces or folders).ย
Iโm surprised that these restrictions were not communicated when you released this beta.ย
Going forward, I hope we could:
