How to Manage Multiple Projects in Wrike?
Curious to hear from the community about how they keep track of 10+ projects that are happening at the same time. Sadly the dashboard features are very limited and I have not found a good solution. Any tips?
Lea Labastida Create a folder in your personal space and tag those projects to that folder. Then you can keep track of them in table view and un-tag it when you don't need to keep track of it anymore!
Devree Czupinski I will check that out! Thank you!
We utilize a combination of different dashboards and reports. These vary in use from team to team and PM to PM - but the gist is this:
1. A dashboard that has Project widgets filtering by status, and any project managed by the PMO is in the same project workflow. This gives the PMO and umbrella view of how projects are going.
2. A PM-specific dashboard that has a Task widget for each Project that you manage (i.e. Widget for Project A with 10 tasks by due date, Widget for Project B with 18 tasks by due date, etc.)
3. A PMO-level dashboard that has a widget for each PM, showing the active and planned projects owned by that PM, sorted by either due date or status
4. Each PM has a Report that shows all assigned Projects so that there's another reference point for what's assigned and in which status
And all of this goes along with utilizing the My To-Do list and pinning active projects to our homepages, and then referencing the various dashboards and reports when running through status updates at PMO meetings (biweekly), or subset meetings between PMs who have interacting portions of projects (i.e. a project that has a design project owned by a design PM and an operations/distribution project that follows design and is run by an Ops PM).
