See which projects have been marked completed so far this year

I am finally at a point with some reports I created that I can show leadership and start using them. Before I do I'd like to triple check my work. Is there a way to run a report or a dashboard that can show me all of the "projects" that have been marked "completed" this year, so far?

Hi Aimee,

We like to keep track of our completed tasks as well. One way we review our information is by creating a dashboard to show all completed project/events. We also create a calendar and add "completed" as a layer for another option to review.

To create the dashboard;

Select create new dashboard > then select the project widget (include projects from subfolders) > Then select the filter to reflect “All completed” You can also include additional filters to better fit your needs. For example of you want to only see your completed projects.

Hope this helps!

Kyrstan Mckay Thank you for this feedback. I do have a dashboard created for this, using that format already. The problem I'm having is I need a filter to sort out "only" the projects that have been completed thus far, this year.

I have a report with custom fields that can pull in this information now, but I need to triple check my work and ensure all of the completed projects we've done so far this year have the new custom fields completed on them so my report does indeed have everything so far.

I have a solution for this for the feature, but anything we've created January - March so far, I need to find to confirm custom fields are filled in.

If you are keeping up with the finish date for the project you can add that as a filter for the dashboard? Otherwise I would think the best way to check on the fields being filled in, you could look at your project in a table format, and add the filter (from top left) to see only completed tasks, and due date to see those you want. Then you can also add your custom field to the table to ensure they are all filled in by scrolling through the projects.

Kyrstan Mckay

Our "completed project date" is normally 99% different from our requested "finish date." The report I created actually now includes a custom field for this option, so we can help determine the "duration" of projects so we can find problem areas.

I need to be able to make a dashboard or report that can pull "all projects" that are completed for the year so far, based on status.

This is the problem I was running into before, hence having to create new custom fields and a report - the project reporting capabilities are very limited in Wrike. This was my best solution but I'd like to double-check my work.

I did create a report to show me all the tasks that have been modified for this year, and organized it by project, and went through all of them to ensure each project had my new custom fields implemented. However I'd like to do one more test using actual "projects" and not tasks to make sure I've caught everything.

Appreciate your help.

I don't know if it is fully fixed now but in the dashboard you can filter completed projects by date. See the picture for more information. This allows to only show the completed project/tasks this year. This is the completed date

Pieter Koens Thank you. I do not think this is fixed yet. I can easily do this for "tasks" but not for projects. Sorry Wrike won't let me upload my screenshot (even after I resized it to be under the 2MB and in png format). I do not have the same options as you show in your screenshot. I appreciate your help, though.

Hi Aimee Reistad, it should look like "Finish Date" when you use a Projects Only Dashboard. Would that help?

@...Thank you. I do have "finish date" however that doesn't pull in the information I need, as the "finish date" is the goal finish date for the project, but not the date the actual project was completed.

I need it to pull in all the projects that were marked "completed" by status, in this year, thus far.

So it would be based off the status changed date to "completed" not the actual goal "finish date" in the project.

Really appreciate your help, Thank you.

Hi Aimee Reistad, got it, thank you for the clarification. I'm afraid the only solution at the moment is to add a date-type custom field for "completed" and add that to the dashboard. I do understand the concerns you've detailed in the comments above and I'll be sharing them with our Product team👍🏼

@... Thank you. I have done that already :) I was hoping to run this report in an attempt to triple check my work. I appreciate you sharing the concerns with the product team.
