Dashboard widgets with Custom Field

I have a Regular user that when creating a widget for their personal dashboard they are unable to see a Custom Field that I created. I have confirmed that the custom field belongs to entire account; applies to tasks, projects, folders; Shared with everyone.

I am able to select the custom field in the widget I have on my dashboard but I also created the custom field and I am an admin.

I believe this is normal if the custom field is of "text" type.

Chiming in on this to say I'm also having this issue--I've created custom fields, chose to make them available to the entire account and saved them, yet I can't pull the same custom fields into another space within the same account. Seems like a bug?

Thanks for the support help--it seems that we have enough custom fields that the ones I'm looking for don't just pop up in the list when created. Using the search bar made them available. 

Now I'm struggling with those fields not being available for reports because they're formula-generated...baby steps. Haha.
