Tasks in more than one project and reports

At the moment, if you group them by folder/projects tasks that belong to several projects/folders will show up under each project/folder. You can change the grouping to "by status" for example, to avoid the duplicate view. 

If you'd like, I can move your post to the Product Feedback forum as well. 

@... as we are going through tasks by projects in these meeting the report is for it is no alternative to change the grouping.

Yes please move it to the feedback forum if their is no solution now. Would be helpful.

Could you make some tags/projects part of another space w/it's own sharing settings, and generate the reports from those accounts with more selective access?

Interesting idea! It's possible to tag projects within other spaces and generate several reports for these individual spaces. This way, other projects where tasks are added to will not show up in the report because they do not fall into the report's scope. Thus, the same tasks will not be visible twice.

This workaround would require additional tagging that may be inconvenient for some cases. However, it's a great alternative if you would like to keep grouping by Project or folder.

Another solution would be to keep the report as it is and check whether the task is added to another project from the "Project or folder" column:

Hi all,

nice idea with double tagging, but this we use already to solve another issue of Wrike (Wrike does not now material ressoiurces). As we are using big machines we would like also to plan we double tag the tasks on one machine into one folder. Also we use this double tagging to group tasks inside a project for different departments. This is already very confusing for most people. Even one more double tagging I think will confuse even more. I would more like to get ride of the machine double tag (please Wrike implement material ressources!). Also double tagging is a big work for the task creator. Projects have up to some thousands of task during their lifetime. If I double tag and need 10seconds for each task I come up with about 10h per project. Not calculated the time for problems because somebody made the tagging wrong.

So a button in the report with please do not show tasks double would be realy helpful and save at the end a lot of work.

Hi Lisa I mean what e.g. MS project provides (Google provides with "MS Project material ressources" good descriptions). That is needed for projects dealing with building up something (and I think also with other kind of projects).

You have some kind of material (an expensive machine, a laboratory, ...) and you can use it only in one project or it can only run a specific amount of hours and it costs money. Wrike does not allow to show this as every ressource in Wrike needs an email address. Normaly things do not have this. And no, it is no option to give every ressource a mail address, that would mean a lot of money (as we need in company Microsoft mail) and it would be a very huge amount.
