Agree, this would be very helpful.
Thank you for reaching out Erin, Alicia Parker! Do I understand correctly that you're suggesting to unify the process of inviting both users who don't have a Wrike account and your team members in the same doc for proofing?

Thanks, Lisa! I was hoping for a single proofing stream that can include a mix of users (with an account) and guests (without an account). Additionally, it would be nice if all reviewers were able to add reviewers in the comments by @ mentioning them. This would greatly improve the collaboration for my team.
Lisa I hadn't thought of it as "unifying the process" but you're correct. Some people who review my team's proofs regularly access Wrike (and therefore would be the only ones eligible to receive the "user" type of proofs) and some people do not access Wrike at all and would need to receive guest proofs. My team doesn't use the user proof functionality at all for a couple of reasons. The big downfalls currently of user-type proofs are that you can't send an introductory or instructional message to the reviewer, providing them context for the proof, and it isn't always feasible to engineer the task name where the proof is uploaded to contain enough context that not-so-tech savvy or busy people understand what you're asking them to do. In contrast, guest proofs provide a whole lot more opportunities for giving context to reviewers, but if I want to only send out one proof notification, I have to add actual Wrike users to that same guest proof (so guest proofs are the choice basically always). Entering email addresses of bona fide users is annoying (because your system should recognize that I'm entering the same names and email addresses that exist for account holders in your system frequently) and it takes up quite a bit of time. My biggest frustration with guest proofs is that Wrike doesn't put two-and-two together that when I (a Wrike user) am routed a guest proof, using my actual Wrike account email address, the system still doesn't recognize me as an account holder. It seems reasonable to me that the system should recognize my email and afford me the same functionality as a user. Unfortunately, it still views me as a guest and separate from who I am as a user.
To add on to what Erin said, my team has used another proofing system in the past that allowed reviewers to add additional people to proofs simply through an @mention. This is particularly handy when someone has already given their verdict on a proof, but a comment is added after they've closed out their session that might impact their "verdict." Often, I would @mention people not on a proof because they had special product information on packaging, for example, that would help clear up questions that no one on the current proof could answer, helping to thwart an additional proofing round. This would also prevent us from having to retract a proof and add that extra person, or add that person and compose a new notification email. Bottom line: this is a big timesaver.
Hi Alicia Parker, sorry for the delay here and thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback.
This is really useful and interesting and I've passed it on to our Product team 👍
