@Calendar holidays for work spaces

Hi,

I work on a team that works for the North American Market, United States and Canada.  We need to be able to have the holidays for our work space only to book task and keep track of projects. The company has teams using wrike in other countries so we need to separate our work calendar holidays from those spaces and as of  now the feature exists doesn't exist.

Would Wrike developers be able to get the work space calendars separate and automatically add the holidays from each country?

One possible workaround for this would be to create different layers for different countries' calendars and to add the holidays as tasks. This way, you'll be able to quickly see which country has a holiday coming up.

Yes! We are a construction company with an office staff and field crews at multiple projects. We would love the ability to set holidays at a space or even project level, since certain jobs or customers may respect difference holidays than others, and even our office.

Wondering if this is something that is in the works? Being able to add Holidays or a note to a particular day on a calendar would be very helpful to my team as well.

Ideally it would be great if the calendar (custom work schedule) would be able to be applied to a Space - that way those dates are blocked off - not just for a person once they are assigned to a task.

I found a work around that will do the trick for me. I created a folder in Spaces called Holidays, then I add a task for each Holiday I wanted to display on our calendars. The task start/end date is the day of each Holiday. I then added a filter to our calendar for the tasks of the Holiday folder, (see reference below). This does not block out the day, it just notes that there is a holiday, (see calendar reference below). This will be a reminder to my creative team and account directors that there is an occasion coming up which they may want to add into our advertising.

Hello, just adding to the thread here. If you can please help to prioritize the ability to enable Holiday calendars at a Space and Project level. It's a time consuming task when creating a large scale project with hundreds of tasks over several months, to have to go and manually adjust each time to account for holidays that we are closed for. This opens us up for human error and adds significant amount of time each time we have to make a change to our dates, putting a limitation on the benefit of using Wrike as we are trying to get the benefit of using a waterfall type of schedule with dependencies in place.

Yes, it’s possible to mark certain days as non-working days. Please follow these steps:
  1. Click on your profile image and select Settings.
  2. In the left panel, click on Work Schedules.
  3. Select the relevant work schedule (e.g., the Default Schedule or a custom schedule).
  4. On the calendar, select the date(s) you want to mark as holidays.
  5. Choose the exception type (e.g., Public Holidays or Other Non-Working).
  6. Save your changes.
