Wrike Analyze - custom field value sum and break by not working

Hey community! I have what I believe should be a simple formula, but I feel like I'm running up against a limitation.

As an example, I have two custom fields:

  • Expected ROI (currency type)
  • Geo (drop down, single select)

My goal is to SUM Expected ROI and then use the "break by" or categories on a bar chart to show the breakdown of Expected ROI by Geo.

Expected ROI sums fine. However, when I add the custom field "Geo" or even the text values from the Geo field in the "break by" area, the chart returns no data.

Is it not possible to take a sum and then break it up by another custom field?

Any chance for a follow-up post as to if this problem had a usable solution? I am curious if what the OP was asking about is actually possible, and if so, what had to change in order for it to be shown correctly.

Hi Shawn Flanagan, thanks for reaching out!

It looks like currently, it is not possible to filter an analytics board by two different custom fields at once: https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036508894-Wrike-Analyze#important.
At the same time, it should be possible to do this with Wrike Reports. You can filter by multiple fields, and also use the grouping option. Eg. you can enable aggregated value on the "Expected ROI" field and group items by "Geo". Hope this is helpful!

Has there been any development for using two custom fields in Wrike Analyze?

Hi Gabe Schur! It works the same, which means that there's no way to filter an analytics board by two different custom fields at once currently.

Please let me know if I can help with anything else!

Hi Lisa is the functionality in the works? This would help enable some automated analytics which we would love. Any status update?

Hello Bhavya (Malhotra) Goins, I hope you don't mind me jumping in for Lisa. Currently, it is not possible to filter by two custom fields at once in Wrike Analyze. A workaround to that could be using Reports, instead. You can choose to filter by as many fields as you want, and also utilize the grouping option.

Also, please feel free to create a Product Feedback post about this request sharing your use case. This way, more Community members can upvote the suggestion and contribute to the discussion.

Please let me know if you have any other questions 😊

Is this problem still there? Reports are no alternative, because we looking for subtotals of every custom fields. Like a pivot in Excel. My goal to go pinnacle was to stop exporting data to excel for analysis. Maybe somebody have a solution for us.

Hi Marco Nipkow,

have you tried new Table View experience?

You can create a table view, using filters like a report and create sum and average on each field you want.
