Create Custom task title using API?
Hi,
I would like to know is it possible to Concatenate via the API some data around tasks and projects and folders to give them a custom ID in the title?
What I'd like to do is take the "Job ID" or equivalent, then add some text to it that is from the original title given when the task/project is created, and rewrite the title with this new one that will be customized?
One reason I'm asking is that I noticed with the Unito integration with Jira, which clearly is using the API heavily, when you create a task in Wrike and then trigger a new issue in Jira, you are allowed an option to rewrite the Task Title in Wrike with the Jira Title, which always includes an identifier. So I'd like to recreate this, but using data inside Wrike that I would try to define in such a way as to bring out a sensible name to the Task Title after the API runs this process.
If this is doable, perhaps it's something I could develop and then offer to the community as a solution as this is a very highly requested item!

Thank you Lisa I appreciate the attention to this one! I will chat with support and share if there is something useful to convey to the community. I'm hoping Wrike Integrate can somehow generate this. I know that's not a tool available on most plans, but I'd really like to know if it's easily doable, first and foremost.
This is related I think to https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115002373265-Shorter-Job-Numbers-or-shortlinks. What I'd like to see, and I think a lot of other posters, is a unique identifier visible in the main views of Wrike - List and Board - so teams can refer to tasks sensibly by referencing those ID's, and not by trying to remember the entire task name.
This is particularly useful in software development and other technology uses.
Asana is also missing this feature so there is a good chance for you guys to beat them to it on this one!
