What are the pros and cons of me following a task versus assigning it to myself to follow?

When you follow a task, you'll receive a notification when there are any changes to that task, but it won't appear in your My To-Do or any view that you have filtered to show only tasks that you're assigned to. Assigning yourself to a task allows you to see all of these notifications for changes, and it appears in any of these views as well.
