limit the assignees in a particular space

There are several options for how you can limit who is assigned to each space;

1. You can assign the users from your team to a Project or Space and then tag them in the comments stream with the phrase "@followers". This will give an Inbox notification to only those who are following these items.
2. The admin of your Wrike account could create a User Group of the 20 people in your team. You could then easily assign them to any Project, Folder, Task or Space.
3. If your team are all Regular Users, you could mention "@MyTeam" and they will all be notified. This will notify all Regular Users across the account though, so this may not work for you.

Thanks for the response. This is helpful.

When I start typing in the assignee field to pick I have the option to select anyone from my organisation. That's not ideal. Is there a way that list can be limited to just my team?

if you setup a user group and type that in the assignee field only the people from that user group will be in the selection. For example: I'm heading the Online Marketing team and have setup three sub teams: Social Media (8 people), Content (7 people) and Performance (2 people). Typing in "Content" in the Assignee field makes it way easier for me to put in someonefrom my team. :) ..and the same holds true for other teams as well.

I agree this would be a huge benefit. We are using Wrike to work with people outside our organization and it would be nice to be able to limit who shows up in the assignee dropdown in certain spaces, folders, and projects.

Although it's not currently planned to restrict some users from the assignee picker, there's an option to setup the assignee preferences through using Custom Fields for Users feature currently available in Wrike Labs. Can this be useful for your team?
