Open PDF in new tab without saving

I used to be able to right click PDFs and view them in my browser in a new tab. Now when I right-click and hit open in new tab, it forces me to save and download the PDF. This is extremely obnoxious.  We attach multiple documents to many tasks and need to open them quickly for side-by-side comparison.  What used to be a simple, couple-second process to open the documents (click them with middle mouse button to open in new tab) is now many seconds and multiple clicks.  Not to mention the time and hard drive space wasted each time I have to save the document.

I'm using Chrome.

Can you switch it back?

@... Is there any news on this topic? This is pretty aggravating for our company.

Hi Nik, sorry for the delay in getting back to you here. Our support team have advised that this is no longer possible due to security concerns. Saving the file to the hard drive ensures a safer method of opening the file in your preferred PDF browser.

We appreciate the feedback that's been shared here and this has been passed on to our Product team. These examples and use cases will help them with future discussions in relation to this.

If you have any other questions or if you need assistance with anything else, please do let me know 👍

This seems ridiculous.  The pdfs that our company uploads to Wrike are not a security concern.  At minimum, give us a toggle in the account settings with a disclaimer about understanding the so-called security risks and let account managers make that decision for themselves.
