[Status: Backburner ⌛️] Include Subtask Details with Dynamic Request Forms

Recently Wrike added the ability to add subprojects and subtasks based on an answer in Request Forms.
This feature is great, but we need one step further.

Within the same form, we'd like users to be able to input some details for the additional subtask. Ideally when creating the form, the admin would select "add subtask" and when "redirect" to a new page is simultaneously selected then the inputs on that 2nd page would fill into the subtask (rather than the main tasks description).

Several of my colleagues are also interested in the proposal to be able to provide additional information in a subtask that is created from a request form. I see a response from 16/08/2023 that the Product Team is interested in this suggestion but that the implementation has been postponed. You have probably drawn up a plan for what will be implemented in 2025. Is this proposal included in this or should we not expect any change in the near future?

Hi Els Vermeulen, we currently do not have an exact ETA for this suggestion, as other priorities are taking precedence. We will keep you updated on any developments or progress in the coming months. Thanks for your patience!

Hello! I've been away on parental leave for just over a year and am coming back to our Wrike Space with fresh eyes. I've been back to work for 5 days and ran into this roadblock today which prevents me from streamlining processes for several of our internal teams. I went looking here in the Community for any Product Feedback post and found it amusing to be directed to my very own feedback from FIVE years ago.

It sounds quite clear that the product development team has more interesting (hopefully equally useful?) developments to work on. In the meantime, could the Support Team provide some notion of a workaround while we paying customers continue to manually bumble our way through this action of reentering information into subtasks. For example, is there even some long-winded automation I could create to replicate a solution?

Here's my specific use case that I'm looking for a solution at the moment:

Our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) team receives a request for works requiring a special work permit. The task created by our form denotes the works to be done. But then our HSE team (as per French regulations) has to create a work permit every day for that job (for example, a permit for Hot Works, Confined Spaces, etc). So ideally when someone selects "Work Permit - Hot Works" as a request in the HSE form, I would like to Add Action --> Add Subtask and then make some choices regarding that subtask such as as:

-recurring task for the duration of the parent task
- copy task title and copy custom fields

Then the HSE team would be able to mark the work permit task completed each day, but the main task of the works remains active.

Any work around for this?

Thank you!

Investigating myself in the automations, and might have found somewhat of a solution. Just need to figure out how to make a unique name.

Nevermind, ran into this on the automation which is a bit contradicting since I'm asking it to duplicate item when a new item is created. But this step is asking me to select an existing task....

Hi Soraya Jung, I apologize for the delayed response and thank you for providing a detailed explanation of your use case along with screenshots. I’m raising a support ticket on your behalf. One of our support experts will be able to assist you if there are any workarounds for what you’re intending to achieve 👍
