Inbox-Notifier for Blueprint-Tasks from Request Forms

Heyho,

we've put together a request form which duplicates from a project blueprint we're a couple of tasks are integrated. Via either check boxes or dropdowns we add additional tasks when necessary. However, none of the tasks generated creat inbox notifiers. So if people are not actively tracking their dashboards they won't receive info on a new task for them.

Am I missing something here? I know that if i create directly from blueprint i have the option to notify all assignees. But I couldn't find it on the request form options. If I am correct is there a hot-fix for the interim?

Thank you

Jan

I hadn't noticed this problem, so I did some testing today, and I'm seeing the same behavior.  We need to solve for this too.

The API doesn't appear to support Inbox notifications, but it does support task comments...  I tried a (kludgy) workaround, using Wrike Integrate, but wasn't able to make it work.

Seems like this is a Blueprint limitation that Wrike needs to solve in the blueprint/request form interaction.

But if anyone has a workable solution for this problem in the meantime, we'd love to hear about it.

Since I'm the Admin on the account and create all the Blueprints, I notice I don't get notifications when a Request Form is completed that assigns to me.  I agree, this needs to be corrected.

Hey everyone, thanks for your feedback here!

This is indeed a limitation that exists currently.

Jan-Christoph Keßler, do you mind if I moved your post to the Product Feedback forum?

Lisa No, please do move it. I just didn't want to put it into Product Feedback, because I couldn't be 100% sure if it wasn't user error on my part.

We're hitting this hurdle, too.

We are really getting into Request Forms and Blueprints as great tools, making Wrike very valuable for our functions who serve many users - until the Project and Tasks created fall on the floor because no one learned they were created! 😨

I even tried to trigger a Slack message when the tasks are created, but the integration did not fire either.

Hey everyone, a quick update from the team: they are investigating this currently. Thanks for flagging this!

Is this still being investigated? Any fix on the way? We're starting to rely on request forms and blueprints quite a bit, but without the Wrike inbox notifications, things are starting to get missed.

Hey Lisa Bage, thanks for reaching out!

The team has released a fix for this, so that the current logic is that there will be notifications for assignees if they were added via form builder settings when the project is duplicated from the blueprint. If a request form duplicates a project with assignees (those assignees are already added to the template) then there won't be notifications sent to the assignees.

Hi Lisa, I just stumbled across this thread when looking into our teams issue.

Taking from your previous reply " If a request form duplicates a project with assignees (those assignees are already added to the template) then there won't be notifications sent to the assignees." is this also being worked on by the team and hasn't been addressed or was the logic of assignees via the form builder settings the extent of it?

Our team uses forms to create projects (using blueprints) with tasks built in on a daily basis, and they're all having issues with not being notified in their Wrike inbox.

Hi Paul Connolley,

While the Product team currently have no plans to implement this suggestion, they will be investigating this functionality in the future. If there are any updates about this, I'll be sure to let you know.

Hello,

I was wondering if there are any updates on this?  We have some recurring processes in which we have a request form that duplicates a Blueprint (with assignees already pre-filled), and because of the lack of notifications when this project gets generated, several team members are missing out on getting their tasks complete in the expected timeframe. Therefore, this type of notification would help tremendously. Thanks!

A work around we have implemented is to set up an automation rule to @ assignees that a task has been assigned to them. We have set up the rule to fire when a new task is created in the space our blueprints load into once submitted through the request form.

Is there any progress on fixing this? Our team relies on notifications and we would love to have them notified for this type of work.

Hi Beth Schecter, very sorry for the delay here. I've checked with the team and there are no plans for this currently. Have you had any success trying out Domenico Simone's approach?
