Update approval

Is there any way to update the Approval status through API, like Approved or Rejected?

I have the same question.

Yes, one can update several properties of an approval, but not the status or the decisions.

Lisa is there now any possibility to approve via API? I can see no possibility in the documentation.

Hi Sven Passinger and Johannes Brunner. Indeed, it is impossible to change the decision on approval via the API. This functionality is not supported and you can do it from the workspace only😟

I would suggest moving your post to the Product Feedback section. Feel free to share your use cases in the thread -  I'm sure our developers will be happy to hear from the Community!🙌

Hi Lisa K.,

I must say I do not understand Wrike more and more. Basic functionalities are not available by the API. Good software development means I build a base which normaly is the API and afterwards put a GUI. So every new feature is first implemented in the core of the software and after that immediately available in the API and after that become available in GUI.

We would need that feature now and not some years in the future. So really bad for the API (not only for this non existing feature).

Yes please move the thread to the product feedback. But I would generally suggest: make everything available in GUI also available in API.

The use case is very simple: we are trying to connect with a database. So we use the API for the talking between them. We have a fixed workflow which has approvals by the task creator. As the task can be created by the database Wrike requests an approval from the database, but the database can not make it (no API). So what is your suggestion to continue with such a task????????????
