Customize Dashboard Layout (Horizontal Layout Option)
I would like the ability to customize dashboard layout to allow for horizontal placement of widgets in addition to the strictly vertical option available now.
For example, when I add a chart from a Folder/Project's Analytics tab, it becomes stretched taller and squished. Allowing the chart to span horizontally across the bottom would make this much more aesthetically pleasing and more useful.

Perhaps I'm misinterpreting your feedback, but I believe what you are looking for is already an option!
As long as you are the creator of the Dashboard, or someone has shared it with you and given you "Full" access, you can hover over the edge of each widget and expand the size of it. You can then slide your widgets around on the page until you are happy with the layout.
e.g. With the analytics widget you mentioned, you could have it the same shape as my "Milestones - To Amend" widget below...

Tip:
To have 'Milestones - To Amend' stretch across the bottom, 'Arrival Email (Active Quotes)' and Arrival Emails - (Active Projects)' need to have their height sized small enough to fit 'Milestones - To Amend' (height sized appropriately) to fit below.
