Reordering folders in List View
How can I re-order folders in List View? When I try to drag and drop, I can drop one folder into another folder, but I cannot drop a folder between two other folders to change their order. Note that these are folders within a Project.
I have the same question, Claire.
Folders are listed in numerical or alphabetical order. If you would like to change their order, you can use numbers, such as 01. New 02.Today, etc. or add an alpha character such as aNew, bToday. Currently, to my knowledge, there is no other way to arrange folders in a particular order. Hope this helps.
Thanks, Marjorie. Not terribly intuitive, since tasks can be dragged and dropped, but adding numbers is a simple enough workaround.
Thank you for the fix Marjorie! Is there a plan to update that function?
Not that I am aware of, but you could suggest it in the Product Feedback section. The more votes it gets, the higher up the To-Do list it is for the Devs.
I was just looking for a way to do this!
@Debbi, I wish I could take credit for thinking of this, but I learned it back when i first started using Wrike, in one of the tutorials. I don't recall which one. Glad to know this helps you.
Add me to the group that wants to add this as a feature. The ordering of lists is important.
Any update on re ordering folders as drag feature doesn't work and still drops into another folder - see this was brought up 5 years ago? Apart from the work around mentioned by adding a number.
Hi Ben Hocken, welcome to the Community. May I please ask you to let us know which view you are using so we can provide you with an accurate reply?
Looking forward to hearing back from you 🙂
