Create New Task as Api Name and not Users Name

Using the new API I've made a new App.

For this example I make the app name: JoeBloggBot

So in the API I've used the Method: /folders/{folderId}/tasks to post a new Task.

Fantastic it works, but the history of the ticket shows that it us under my name.

Is there a way to post the new tasks as JoeBloggsBot instead of my name?

Hi Doug, this isn't possible (unless someone here has come up with a workaround). We do something similar here, basically using a bot to create a task from other actions outside of Wrike.

Have you tried possibly adding you as an assignee automatically, or as Custom Field Data as a reference? Can I ask what's the end goal of this bot so I fully understand what you're looking to achieve? Thanks!

Hi Doug,

If I understood your question correctly!

You may need to create a user with this name (JoeBloggsBot), and use this new user's (JoeBloggsBot) token or authenticate as (JoeBloggsBot) when you use the API.

I hope this helps
