How about a Next/Previous Task Functionality

When you are just burning through tasks, it would be helpful to have a link in the task view to go to the next task in your list. This would reduce the number of clicks you have to do when updating tasks.

Or.. if that's too much of a UI change then.

How about some sort of highlighting of the task that was just closed/viewed?

This would be particularly useful when using a dashboard. In that scenario, when a task is clicked, the window view changes by shading out the task list and overlaying a panel with the task and its navigation, comments and controls. To update the next task, you close the panel with the current task. Then you find the next task by remembering which task you just closed, then clicking the next task, usually it's the next one underneath. Sometimes the next task is in another panel, in the scenario where you're using a dashboard to go through tasks.

Hey Lee, thank you for posting this, I really like your idea.

In case you're using a list of tasks several times, I think that adding permalinks to the next/previous task can be used as a workaround (for example, you can add those permalinks in the task stream). At the same time, I understand that it still takes a couple of clicks, so this is not perfect, of course.

Let's see how popular your suggestion gets among Community members and thanks again for posting 🙌
