Single view set-up (i.e. adding dependencies and descriptions to table view)

I clicked too quickly.  Essentially, I'd like a single view that allows me to enter all tasks and subtasks--and all their associated information.  The closest is table view, but it needs dependencies and descriptions added as optional columns.  It's very ineffective to jump between screens.  Thanks!
