[Status: Launched! ๐] Time Tracker Updates
The recent updates to the time tracker have made tracking time inefficient
1) There are now multiple clicks to see all times tracked and switching between time trackers
2) Cannot go down in time tracked and start from that point - reverts back to the highest time tracked.
- Moving from 1:32 down to 1:22 results in 1:32 starting again when the "Add Entry" is clicked out of
3) Notes added inside of a task popup are NOT moved into the Add Entry notes when switching between time trackers
How can we get involved in a beta testing campaign when new updates are being proposed? It seems like this update wasn't ready for prime time?
Agreed - perhaps provide a way to switch between the new and the old?
I agree with these notes as well. I try to use timers throughout my day to track time, but I don't commit anything until the end of the day. When I go through committing the timers, I round the time off a bit and make sure that the total comes out evenly. The new timer makes that difficult to do, especially since the cursor jumps to the end of the time field every time a character is added or deleted. That makes changing "1h 42m" to "1h 45m" take more than the 2 keystrokes I could do it in before.
Overall, there is definitely more effort required to do the same thing. More clicks to change what timer is running, more keystrokes to adjust the time while committing it, etc.
I've also noticed that timers appear to continue to run in the task detail panel after committing the entry from the new timer in the workspace. It may be related to the fact that I have individual tasks opened in separate windows to keep ready access to them. It seems like the individual task window doesn't get notified that the timer for that task is no longer running because when I open that task in my main workspace window, the timer shows accurately as stopped.
I'm also having trouble with time that keeps running on my Android phone. Looked at it on a Sunday and saw I was working on something for 45+ hours and knew I had committed the time.
Yes it is a bit of pain now https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360029083034--Improved-timer-icon-issues
I agree - this timer change is more difficult. I also have to change times frequently and when you click inside the time, each keystoke moves the cursor point to the end of the entry. You basically have to wipe out the time and retype the whole time.ย Ok - if that is the plan, maybe put a little 'x' icon there, so that I don't have to select that time entry, or backspace over it?
