Increase Customization with Slack

Hello,

We are hoping to link Wrike task completions to a specific channel in Slack so external members of the team are aware when deployments occur. We don't currently see the ability to select a specific update in Wrike: https://www.screencast.com/t/Fr1YIiPAn

Rather than being notified of every status change, we would like to select a specific update. 

Do you have any suggestions for a workaround in the meantime?

Hey Venita, thanks for posting 🙂

Currently, the integration works as described on our Help Center:

Notifications are set up on a Folder by Folder (or Project by Project) basis and are sent to the Slack channel or direct message conversation you choose. You can receive instant notifications when

  • A task or subtask is created.
  • A task’s or subtask’s status is updated.
  • A task’s or subtask’s due date changes.
  • New attachments (or a new version of an existing attachment) are added.
  • Comments are added. (Proofing comments do not trigger Slack notifications).

If you enable notifications, then you receive notifications for all of the tasks and subtasks in that Folder or Project. However, you won’t get notifications about tasks in Subfolders or Subprojects.

I wonder if you have seen Wrike Integrate? It's an add-on that helps integrate Wrike with various apps, including Slack. Please check out the info if you're interested; I'll be happy to hear what you think 👍
