[Status: Backburner ⌛️] Report on Custom Field History
Hey Community!
I would love to see a feature in Wrike that allows me to report on the history of custom fields across multiple tasks in one hit. The addition of Custom Field history in Labs is very useful and informative for our team, but is very manual and labour intensive to go through and pull this information into something useful.
Use case - we use custom fields in our workflow to determine the scope of a job, either Bronze, Silver or Gold levels. It is a quick way to determine how much work is involved in the job without spending ages reading through the requirements of the task.
However, what we find difficult in Wrike is reporting on when these jobs change scope or size, for example, the project starts off as a Bronze level job, but is then upgraded to a Gold level job (considerably more work/time/effort involved)
It would be very useful to be able to export the information from Wrike when custom fields change or are updated into a spreadsheet, or possibly be notified when custom fields are changed so that we can track when these changes happen at a top level without needing to access Wrike to see the ins and outs of every task, or click into every task to see the history.
Currently we're relying on our team writing in the comments to say they have updated a custom field as the scope of a job has changed and is now a 3 week task instead of 3 hours, and even then this isn't easy information to pull out when I need to see changes across multiple tasks easily.
We report back to our senior management team about our teams output, productivity etc, and currently it's very difficult to determine if a job is delayed because of a slow worker or scope creep.
Thoughts welcome!
Edited to add further information!
This seems to be a popular request. I will upvote this as this is a key and critical element to allow 'governance' of projects.
It is very hard to keep up with >100 projects in a portfolio and know if the latest project 'update' is current or old. This drives accountability and other conversations on work-load and expectations for project managers and their directors. This would be a huge time-saver for PMO organizations.
