How to have more than one person able to edit the calendar?

It's great that we can use the calendar in a way so that different teams can coordinate, but how do I allow others to be able to edit a calendar I created? It would be very useful so that if a teammate is out they can then access and make changes should something in the project change.

Hey Anita,

If i'm following you correctly, events on the Wrike calendar are controlled by tasks. If the tasks are updated, the events in the calendar should reflect that. If a user can't modify a specific task, then it's a user permissions issue that "should" have a way to work around.

Hopefully that helps point you in the right direction. If I'm not following correctly, could you expound and maybe include a few screenshots?

Thanks!

Hi Tim,

We are using the classic calendar with the end date and attaching the calendar information to the task/folder. It's not based on any dates in Wrike. So if I need to move something in the calendar, it's not in the task itself. I can't find a way to allow others that I share my calendar with to be able to also edit the information in the calendar.

Sincerely,

Anita

Hi Tim,

I have the same Q as Anita and we have the classic calendar showing "go-live" dates for our team, however, no one else can add to it, so this makes it difficult to actually collaborate and see the bigger picture (especially when you work with multiple countries). I understand that there is a smartbased calendar too, but I don't want the shared calendar to have all the related tasks showing up on there, it gets a bit messy. Is there any way to work around this or be able to let others add to the classic calendar too? Thanks! Danielle

Hi guys,

Currently, only the creator of the Calendar can make edits there. This is because the Calendar is supposed to be managed by the owner and reviewed by those who are shared with it. However, I can totally understand why you want people to make edits here

It would be great to hear what work you're capturing and sharing in Classic calendars, this gives us here, and the Product team better context to think of some workarounds. It would also help to know why Smart Calendars can't be used in these cases? Thank you!

For now, please add your vote to this feedback thread for our Product Team's review 🙏
