Make/Transition a Project into a Folder
AnsweredI accidentally created a project and I want to make it a folder. Is there a way to easily move it from one to the other without losing all the tasks within the project?

Hi Karen - Yes, just right click the Project in the left hand navigation menu select:
Right Click > Project > Turn into Folder
Or, if you are viewing the parent folder above this project in the 'List' view, you can just right Click>Convert to Folder. Shouldn't have any impact on the child items from what I have seen doing this in the past.
Karen,
Here is a screenshot of the "Turn into Folder" menu item if it helps.
this no longer works
Hey Josue Paytan, apologies for the late reply!
You can now click on the three-dot menu of your project and click on "Change item type" to convert a project into a folder:
I hope this helps 🙂

Hi there,
It seems like things have changed again? I don't see where we can change a project to folder in the three dot drop down.
Thanks, Sean
I hope this answers your question. Thanks!
