Less vs Fewer: The importance of editing user interface language
Just a quick note from basic grammar:
"Less" is used for indefinite quantities, things that cannot be counted. "We had less time to get to the airport than we expected." "Let's take your car. Mine has less gasoline than yours."
"Fewer" is used for discrete quantities, things that can be counted. "We have fewer days before us than we have behind." "Show me FEWER items."
In the interface, (one example is the collapsible "show more" in "My Work," the text should say "Show FEWER items" when you want to collapse the list.
If you don't have editors who check these sorts of things regularly, I recommend it to you highly. Details like this demonstrate sophistication and polish.

Oh, and if you're ever uncertain of whether to use "fewer" or "less," try to fit the noun into this phrase: "Please give me a FEW (or A COUPLE OF)..." If you can put "few" in front of the noun, then you should say, "Please give me FEWER of those..."
