Events/Meetings
I would like to be able to create events/meetings for projects. Currently, if our team is meeting about a project we create a task for the meeting, but it would be great if we had the ability to create events/meetings with dates, times and attendees.
As an Event Planning company having dates and meetings, we can create would be vital. Especially if they can complete the Leads/Lags features that has been delayed for like 6 months. That way X item could be due X days after meeting.
@Josefina Hey, thanks for adding your post here 🙂 All the feedback is passed to our Product team.
@Zil You might have already noticed that Leads and Lags are now released 👍

Historically, email and its related calendar tool (regardless of product e.g. Exchange) naturally became the most common collaboration tool and method between any two parties. Specifically, the calendar tool has been the mainstay for scheduling meetings and setting to-the-minute appointments. These days with the development of social media and collaboration tools, email and its calendar are STILL most common.
Until the Wrike team creates this Wrike product to either freely integrate with the various calendars (Exchange the most common), or to be able to schedule meetings, appointments, and recurring reminders, it will continue to fall short. Why? Because meetings and appointments are one of the core functions of program/project management as well as any business/IT operation. We PMs and Managers want to a one-stop shop in a PPM/Work Management tool including the meetings/appointments/events. Wrike is clearly a PPM/Work Management tool and it's as if it were a plane built to fly but lacking a complete communication system. Not good.
Whoever in Wrike thinks this is one of those low-priority backlog items should rethink this. Put on the shoes of a project manager of your Wrike customer and see how much the appointment/event/meeting planning/scheduling capability is needed for this product to be highly effective. (And, no, integrating with some other vendor non-email/calendar collaboration product, e.g. Slack, is not an option because that costs more $ to buy just to have it for one thing.)
UPDATED: Right after I sent this, I also realized Wrike needs to be able to integrate with Zoom. This could work as an alternative given Zoom integrates with various calendars. If user can schedule a meeting with specific times via Zoom, it can also show up in Wrike and the calendar with which Zoom integrates.
Hi Christian Sargent, sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
Thank you for your comment and the insight you've shared here. It's much appreciated and we've passed it on to our Product Team.
As this suggestion hasn't reached the 60+ threshold, it's yet to receive a status, but we have shared the interest in this.
If you need anything else let us know, we'll be happy to help 👍

Hi Elaine
Understand your company has to prioritize improvements hence the 60+ decision.
This does seem like a pretty fundamental tool though and I'm sure everyone would agree that managing meetings are the stock in trade of project management - we work through people and people need to meet. Perhaps a higher priority for Meeting Management isn't such bad suggestion
Cheers
Hi STUART WATERS, hope you don't mind me jumping in for Elaine.
Thank you for your feedback, it's been passed on to our Product team. As soon as we have an update for this, I'll let you know 😊
Hey Elchin Khalilov!
We have a similar suggestion here on the Community, our team isn't planning to add this in the near future. We're keeping it on our radar though, seeing that the suggestion is very popular. We pass on all the feedback to the team and if/when we have an update from them, we'll make sure to let you know.

Another way to handle this is to integrate with the major calendar services that people use, like Outlook/Office 365. I don't expect my team will ever move away from Outlook, because our organization has major, ongoing agreements with Microsoft. It would be very nice if Outlook events could appear as tasks. Some thoughts about how this would be implemented:
Elaine If this concept is aligned with the original post, is there a best-practice for making sure users can vote for either of them to help trigger the 60-vote threshold for consideration?
Hello Ian Hlavacek, thank you for your detailed comment! It is possible to integrate Wrike with Outlook to sync items into Outlook Calendar. You can find all the details about this option here.
Also, you can create an automation rule to create Outlook events based on our available triggers.
May I ask if these options would be useful for you?
@... It looks like the Outlook Sync option is what I need. However, I would argue that this should be a core element of Wrike that doesn't require a pricey plug-in.
Is use Wrike to have plan workloads and productivity for my team. Meetings are a core part of weekly planning because they take up significant time.
Thank you for your reply Ian Hlavacek 👍 I understand your point and I've passed your comment on to our relevant team.
