Calendar Problem

Hi,
We would like to create a task which would repeat on every Monday.
We are trying to set this task ready on the calendar, but whenever we write the date it takes space for the whole month.
Is there any way to set up a weekly task on the calendar which can be seen only on Mondays?

Hi Emre, welcome to Wrike Community 🙂
When you make the Task Recurrent, do not create Tasks upfront - that way a new Task in the Recurrence will be created 1 working day before the Recurrence begins (in your situation, it will be Friday)
Please let me know if that helped 🙌

Hi Lisa, first of all, thank you so much.

Unfortunately, it did not work for us. We have a very busy and intensive calendar. As you can see in the screenshots below the task takes space for every day, which causes difficulty for us to track the tasks. Am I doing something wrong with the setup?

Emre, the first screenshot you provided shows that a Task's duration is 53 days (the right side of the first screenshot). I don't know your processes, but maybe you can limit the Task's duration to just 1 day, then all the recurrent Tasks should only show on Mondays. Please make sure that you edit the Recurrence (when making it a one-day Task):

If you just edit the parent Task, the recurrent Tasks won't be edited automatically.

Please get back to me here if you have further questions👍

Hi again, I have edited the task but now it is just visible for 1 day.

If the start date is correct (Jan 7, 2019), and you edited the whole recurrence as I described above, each new recurrent task will be created 1 working day before the Recurrence should occur. So, the Task for Jan 14, 2019 will be created on Friday, Jan 11, 2019 and so on.

Please tell me if that's what you were looking for 🙂

Thanks again. In that case, we can never see the daily tasks that repeat weekly on the calendar. So it is not possible to make the tasks visible on the calendar from now on for the rest of the month/year?

Emre, I'm sorry, I must have misunderstood you. I thought you didn't want the Tasks to clutter your Calendar. In case you want these Tasks to be on your Calendar, you can create up to 60 Tasks upfront, and they will be visible straight away.
