Turn a Project into a Template
Hi all, we jumped in and created a few projects and after some tweaking have finally found a setup that we like for a couple of different processes. Is there a way to turn these projects into project templates? I've been searching and can't seem to find how to do that. I really want to avoid having to rebuild this huge project as a template just so we can reuse it.ย

Hi Alex. When I have needed to take an already created project and make it into a template I have taken the following steps:
- Right click on the project in the sidebar menu
- Select "duplicate"ย
- Rename the project "---ย template"
- Choose a new location if needed
- And then select what needs to be copied from the checklist (Copy tasks | With description | With attachments | With assignees | With custom fields values | Reschedule)
We have a folder named "Templates" where we have all of them housed. There may be other solutions that I am not familiar with, but this has worked for our team so far.
Good Luck! -

Thanks for the welcome. I did look there first, and didn't find what I was looking for. I know that I can reuse projects, but I wanted to specifically save these as templates, rather than simply as projects we move to the Templates folder.ย

Hi Alex,
In essence, a Wrike Template IS a project, or task, waiting to be duplicated. I keep my templates in a Template folder, so as not to include them in reports. I hope this helps explain a bit.ย
