Adding time (of day) to tasks on calendars

We've been using the calendar feature and I was wondering if it was possible to add a time stamp to the tasks. For example, one starts at 9:30 am and another might start at 11 am.

Hi Lena, right now Calendars are based on days as the minimum unit to display there - but I can see why this would be useful so thanks for sharing.

I use an event Calendar in a similar way and so I put the time in the task name in brackets so I know. Not ideal but works pretty good for me.

I've moved this post the Product Feedback section so others can vote for it and so the Product Team can review it when looking for ways to enhance this feature. Thanks for sharing and happy posting! 🙌

Hi All

I really don't know why the calendar has been designed without a start and end time regarding a task. This is very crucial in time management.
Please, please, do something to have this feature.
Thanks in advance.

Considering how Wrike wants to be a comprehensive workflow and management service, missing the ability to denote start or end times on the calendar is... supremely disappointing. Particularly if you want to do any scheduling at all - which is one of the primary use cases for project management and workflow apps.

I mean, there are many reasons you would have an Event type or Meeting type on a calendar - which are not the same as Tasks to do - and that would require a specific start time. Even multi-day events.

For project management with extensive meetings not having a start and stop time is a hole in the Wrike design. Yes this needs to be added and do we know when it might be available?

Hey Marcus Armani, thanks for sharing!

I can totally see how this would be helpful, but there are no plans to add something like this at the moment. I have however, passed on your feedback. If there's anything else I can help with here, please do let me know 👍

This is a critical miss.  You have training videos about managing meetings.  You celebrate enabling Outlook integrations.  But not being able to specify the time of a meeting, or any other event or task is a serious shortfall.  I'm really disappointed.

Hi - any suggested work-arounds to indicate start times ? And how do we sequence these activities based on start time ?

feedback will be appreciated.

Hi Nandini Ravi! Welcome to Wrike! 🎉

Currently, Wrike's calendar feature doesn't support adding specific times to tasks; they can only be scheduled by date. A common workaround is to create a custom field (text) for start time, that will allow you to enter the start time for each item. This will help with keeping a record.

Alternatively, you can also include the time in the item name, such as 'Meeting [9:30 AM].' Let me know if the workarounds will help. Thank you! 😊

Please add in a time function for tasks. This is a basic function and should not be left out for software as expensive as Wrike.

This post is going on 6 years and it seems that users feedback are not actually being heard.

Boosting this. Is there any update on adding time to certain tasks?  We have tasks that need to be done at a certain time during the day. Having just the day is a big miss. Hopefully, this feature will be incorporated soon.
