Can deleted files within a task be restored?
Hey Guys,
We had some files uploaded directly through Wrike to a task and accidentally deleted them.
Is there anyway to restore them within Wrike?Thanks,

Hi Cesar, it's not possible to reverse the deletion of files however in some cases our Support team may be able to help locate them. Let me know if you'd like to discuss this with them and I can raise a ticket for you 👍

Someone inadvertently deleted a word doc file that I was hoping you might be able to retrieve. How would I go about requesting this from you. Since it is a file it is not in the recycle bin and I see after reading this thread that thee might be a way through the assistance of your support team? Thanks

Is there a limit in time from the deletion of the file that this "restore" operation is feasible?
Eg.: if the file got delete 10 days back is still possible to restore it back?

I'm not having a problem right now.
Let me explain you my case: We had a file deleted several month before we become aware about the deletion. Anyway we managed by pure luck to retrieve a copy saved locally by the user.
Nevertheless I started to check if it was possible to restore deleted files or not and how much the retention for deleted file is. Just in case it would happen again.
Out of this discussion I got the answer to the first question: yes is possible to restore a deleted file.
Now what I'd like to know is: what is the retention time for the deleted files? How much time after the deletion is still possible to retrieve the file? 10 days? 6 months?

Hi Stefano Chinea, thanks for the clarification. As long as the task/folder/project from which the attachment was deleted still exists in your account (i.e. is not erased from the Recycle Bin), we are able to restore the attachment. If the attachment is erased from the Recycle Bin, unfortunately, it cannot be retrieved by any means. Hope this helps!
How do you find a deleted attachment in the recycle bin? It was accidently deleted and had comments. Please help!

Just to echo what everyone else has said in this thread — keeping FILES in the recycle bin would be WILDLY helpful. I'm surprised it's not an existing capability. I was clearing out the clutter on a task and accidentally deleted one with important comments that we now can not get back. Would love to see this update added in the future, please and thank you!
