Custom field at project level but visible on takss

I am building a process where by at task 2 a user will enter a link they created as part of their task.  I want their entry to be visible in the next task for the next person . What is the best way to go about setting that up?

Hi Melinda 🙌 This is interesting. Can I know a little more about how the two tasks are related and if they're part of a larger process? We can't automatically pull data from one task to another (if the tasks are created simultaneously, which I'm guessing they are). There are two ways I can think to approach this though:

  • Task B is a Subtask of Task A: In this case, the assignee of Task B could just click into Task A to see the link they need.
  • Request for Task B: The assignee for task A submits a Request when they are done with Task A, the Request will ask them for relevant information (including the link) and then be automatically put in a Folder. Whether or not this will work depends a lot on your situation and how many additional steps there are, but if it's just Task A and Task B, it may be helpful.

Looking forward to hearing more!

We do this a lot in our business, but rely heavily on our tech partners and the magic of API's that Wrike offers. That may be another option. Another may be to explore one task with workflow statuses to facilitate the work. That way both users can work on the same info. Just a few thoughts :)
