Ability to Unfollow Tasks assigned to yourself
AnsweredIn my mind tasks you are "following" are tasks you want to keep an eye on the progress of. When creating dashboards showing tasks you are following currently includes all tasks assigned to you plus additional tasks you are following. Since you cannot unfollow tasks assigned to you this makes a messy and unhelpful widget. There needs to be a place to keep an eye on tasks your coworker or subordinate is doing. Either the ability to have a premade widget of "Tasks I am following not assigned to me or the ability to unfollow tasks assigned to you would be really helpful.
It's like trying to follow yourself on twitter or instagram. It just makes no sense. You already know your own progress and whats assigned to you through your to do widgets.
Hi,
I managed to do what you need using search terms as per below (using the #notme)
However, there is a "bug" in that tasks you create for someone else are not automatically followed in the dashboard, unless you unfollow, and then follow. So there are tasks missing from the dashboard which you are following even though it show the task as followed - go figure. Not sure what the disposition of this problem is, but in in my view is it inconsistent and surprising.
Great thinking on this Wayne. I've passed your feedback and the main idea here to our Product Team. I've marked this as answered for now so others can quickly see you've supplied a solution that can work for now. Thanks! 👍
