Why should I use Milestones??
Can I use it to change the workflow?
Like using the milestone as a point of decision that could change the project finishing completaly, So when the descision is made I could just change the milestone status :"new" to "decision1" or "new" to "decision2".

Hi Julia! Milestones are great to use for significant steps or endpoints. For example, if I was planning a conference, I would use a milestone to designate the conference date (because it's a crucial date and after it's finalized it can't be moved). Or if you're doing quarterly budgets, you could use a milestone for the date that all budgets must be submitted by and maybe a second milestone for the date all budgets must be approved by.
If you have tasks linked via dependencies and there's a milestone in that dependency chain, you can shift the chain and the milestone will stay in its original place. It's one of the reasons it's really good to use milestones for fixed date events/deadlines. Let me know if that makes sense!
Would love to hear from others about how you use milestones :)
This thread has assisted me in understanding how to use milestones. My concern is how to report on the multiple milestones in one project.
Thanks for reaching out Selina Drakeford! It's possible to create a report based on milestone tasks:
