Hi Art, could you share of screenshot of what you're looking for? We are experimenting with printing Gantt Charts as well, with limited success.
Hi guys, it would be great for me (and the Product Team) to hear what you're using the printed version of Gannt View for? Thanks 👍
@Art, you can print the Gantt Charts, see my comment here. I too, am curious as to why you want a printed version. Maybe to hang on the wall?
Yes, these are to hang on the wall in the office. We have a wide variety of tech skills/ technology comfort level in the office, and many users are more comfortable printing and viewing on the wall. These users update their project task statuses weekly (we've asked for this as a minimum) and then print for the wall.
I understand most users aren't doing this, but on our end we need to consider the lowest common denominator's use case and make sure it works Ok.
I work in the construction field, and its impossible to review complex schedule easily in Wrike (or MS Project for that matter) with the contractors on site, the standard is to have a schedule on the wall so everyone can know what we are aiming to achieve. There needs to be a way to print these out in a useful manner for those companies who's work isn't just achieved with a computer.
We need this as well. We had a large pre-mortem meeting and needed to be able to print the tasks and Gantt chart similar to how you would in MS Project for a large working session. We were unable to provide this and therefore everyone participating in the meeting could not quickly reference all tasks within the plan. This was an issue when we needed attendees to be able to jump around throughout the plan since the plan was too large to display on a conference room monitor. Regrettably, paper is still a go to for reviewing large sets of information and parsing it quickly.
Additionally, the reason that we need a printable output for records keeping purposes. We need to be able to show a copy of the plan as well as status of the tasks at a specific point in time and need to be able to store this in a records repository. Wrike cannot be our system of record for this. We can achieve this by exporting the list to Excel. However, this is not a very user friendly format and requires a great deal of cleanup. This is a critical item for our organization, so we hope that this can be addressed in the near term.
I usually need to get my Gantt charts into ppt decks for presentations with the executive team to let them know the progress of a project. Often I am aslo simplifying the timeline, so I do this in two ways. 1) I cheat and re-create a simplified version of the timeline in ppt, then update it weekly / monthly based on what i actually in wirke. 2) I use a second screen to get the timeline as large as possible and then take a screen shot and put that into my ppt. Then you can share it and print it out for the less technically minded. THis is not the best solution, but a work around until wrike can allow print outs.
One of the problems I often run into is that my timelines are very long because of all the sub tasks and cant fit onto one screen, I think this is a problme wrike will have to solve when they allow us to print.
When is the printing of a gantt chart going to be sorted so we can have:-
I see there are a heap of different product requests in the same vain. Any timeline for this in the roadmap. Throw us a bone...
Hey guys, thanks for reaching out here! There's a dedicated Product Feedback thread, please upvote the original request if you haven't already, and I'll update that thread when I have news. For now, the suggestion is not on the Product roadmap, but we'll keep bringing this up as it is a popular request on the Community 🙌

I very much agree that this must be on the product roadmap and is a needed feature. We also deal with construction companies on larger projects and have to bring copies of schedules and Gantt charts to meetings when discussing construction schedules. Wrike's ability to print the Gantt as a PDF is very weak. It prints the entire visual chart as one PDF without the left column data. For a project that lasts 3 to 5 years, this is unusable as the PDF is nothing more than a glorified image file of the Gannt. It is way too big to print in any fashion that is usuable.
Tools such as Primavera, MS Project, and other traditional tools provide this option. Wrike's stance on it being a cloud based tool only without being able to provide properly formatted and structured Gantt chart reports is off the mark in my opinion. You need to be able to do this to work with many industries and companies outside of the tech world.
I strongly urge this feature; to be able to select the range and options for the report, and then print to PDF a proper report with paging is a must-have.
Thank you.
I need to be able to include gantt charts in existing reports, currently I have to screenshot.
The question is, why would you NOT allow us to print the tasks? Printing schedules is a requirement in any construction project because they document moment-in-time histories. Every meeting starts with a schedule update. It's great that we can print the gantt chart, but not being able to see the milestone dates, and not seeing the task list makes the print out almost useless.
Hi Damon W Pearson, welcome to the Community! 🙂

The status there is Coming soon, and I'll be checking with the Product team in the coming weeks to see if I can share more details with you on when the feature is planned for release 👍
