Suggestion : Task Reminder within Apps.

Hello.

it might be helpfull to have a task reminder within the app, in order to alert me about something that should be done at a specific time. So, even if I am away of my office (inside or outside the building) a beep and a message on my screen would be enough to "alert" me.

i.e. Call John steward

I am aware of google calendar integration and emai alerts, but still would love a simple task reminder within the app, without the need for extra software services.

Also such feature could be accessible offline, in cases I can't reach internet.

Thanks

Yes, I was looking for a way to have the tasks sent to the Wrike calendar send an audible reminder.  I tried to send them to the Outlook calendar where I know I can make an audible reminder, but to no avail.  Unless I'm missing something...?

This has been asked for since 2017.  I'm not sure why that is such a hard fix when you have a team of programmers fixing bugs & integrating other features.

Surely it's not so difficult to add a check box when a task is created.  If they check it on the task at any time, it would bring up a calendar for them to pick a date, ask for an email address & then send an email like "You requested a reminder about "Task Name" for this date when the date comes around.

We just came onboard a few weeks ago & I am already looking for this feature.  I couldn't complete the task completely but just seeing it as 'in progress' with 15 other jobs isn't going to remind me when I need to start the other part of the task.

Hope you guys can come up with something soon.  This shouldn't be a back burner issue.

Elena

Hi Elena Boughey, welcome to the Community. Thank you for supporting this idea, I've passed your feedback on to our Product Team. At the moment, the best option to create such reminders is an automation rule.

You could create a rule that would trigger a @mention (and an email, depending on your email notifications settings) if the task has been in, for example, the "In progress" status for X number of days:

Could this option be useful for you?

Also, since you are new to the Community, I'd like to mention that you can check our New to Community forum to discover all the resources you can find in 🙂
