Auto-Assign Folder by Workflow Status
It would be awesome for Admins to associate certain Workflows and/or their statuses with specific folders. This would help ensure organizational continuity when a user changes the workflow of a task.
It might also act as a workaround to the feature request noted in this post: https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115003636685-Request-Forms-Add-task-to-folder-dropdown?page=1#community_comment_360001727913
Hi Chance! This is actually already possible in Wrike! Just right-click on a folder or project, navigate to the "Change workflow" option, and select the workflow you'd like. There are some limits here based on the default workflow of the parent folder. You can learn more about this here: https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/articles/210322785-Custom-Statuses-and-Workflows
No, what we are looking for is for a particular status to automatically move the project/task into a different folder. This would function the same way as the current option for assigning a USER to a status, but for a FOLDER. It is hard to maintain total uniformity in archival and the like when it must be done manually.
Hi Sean Garcia, thanks a lot for reaching out! Our team are investigating some automations that might be helpful in this use-case, so please stay tuned for the updates from us 🙂
